Epic Games Store Drops 3 Free Games This Week — Including a Co‑Op Hit and Batman’s Darkest Tale
It’s that time again! The Epic Games Store has two PC games available to claim completely free until May 21 at 10 AM CT. Add to that a freebie on mobile, and there’s plenty of fun to be had. And, since one of these is a co-op multiplayer game, don’t forget to share this with your friends!
Sunderfolk – Standard Edition

Sunderfolk is a tactical RPG you can play with up to three friends, either over the internet or couch co-op with your phones as controllers. If you’re playing co-op, you only need one copy of the game. But, since it’s free, why not get your friends to all nab copies right now, too?
Everyone takes on a role, with their own stats and skill cards. When you aren’t in battles, you’ll go to the village of Arden, where you can visit shops and meet the NPC locals.
This sounds like a perfect game for playing with friends, whether you’re far apart or in the same room. It’s rated Everyone 10+ so you can even get the older kids involved. Don’t wait, though. It’s only free on the Epic Games Store until May 21 at 10 AM CT. Then it goes back to its regular price of $49.99.
The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition

Batman is a superhero, but this is not a game for little kids. The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition is rated Mature 17+. Normally priced at $29.99 on the Epic Games Store, it is also free until May 21. This edition of the game includes all 10 episodes together.
• Batman: The Telltale Series (Episodes 1-5)
• Batman: The Enemy Within (Episodes 1-5)
• Batman Shadows Mode
This single-player game is described as an action-adventure and has controller support. It is described as a “twisted world” “that brings the fractured persona of the Dark Knight and the City of Gotham to life in a visually sinister, new way!”
Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure

I didn’t forget about the mobile game! If you’ve installed the Epic Games Store mobile app, don’t forget to open it up and claim Arranger for adventure and puzzles when you’re on the move. This game is rated Everyone.
Take on the role of Jemma on her adventure to break free of the stagnant life of her culture. It’s described as “A breezy RPG without XP or inventory to manage, where everything is handled in-world.” It’s also available for PC & Mac for $19.99 if you missed it when it was free last week.
How to Claim Freebies From the Epic Games Store
Whether you want to play on your PC, Mac, Android, or iOS device, you can find the download information on the Epic Games Store website. If you’re on a computer, you can download the Epic Games Launcher to access and play your games. I know that’s not exactly shocking, and you probably figured that out already.
For the mobile games, you’ll need the QR code. Use the camera on your mobile device to scan the QR code, which will direct you to the download page. You will have to enable downloads from other sources. (Other than the native app store, that is.) This app isn’t available on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. After installing the app, launch it, sign in, and then scroll down to find the current free game.
And that’s what we have for you this week! Check back next week, and we’ll highlight the new game offerings from the Epic Games Store. We’re staying on top of the latest gaming news, so you don’t have to worry about any FOMO.
Happy gaming!
