All The Important Details About the Teamfight Tactics Set 17 Mechanic
The set mechanic for Space Gods of Teamfight Tactics is a simplistic one. However, there are crucial details that everyone should know for the mechanic. These can be the difference in many of your games. Thanks to various sites, we have access to the data regarding the mechanic. Here is everything you need to master the set mechanic for Space Gods in Teamfight Tactics.
Teamfight Tactics: The Space Gods Themselves

There are nine Space Gods. In each Teamfight Tactics game, only two will appear. Each one presents choices and a final boon, should you side with them. There are three times that the Space Gods appear. On Stage 2-4, 3-4, and 4-4. Each time, you have a choice between the offers. Each offer will come with an additional component.
After you make your choice, Pengu will present you with his own options. These will always be champions of various costs. Once you side with a Space God twice, they will grant you their boon on Stage 4-7. The Space Gods replace the carousel for this set. It is the first time in the game’s history that the carousel will not be present. There are also no encounters for Set 17.

Other Catchup Mechanics
Pengu is not the only one who will help you catch up. Players in the bottom four will receive reforgers and component anvils in place of random components. Everyone receives the same number of components, but you can guarantee an item of your choice. Lose streaking itself is weaker in this set, but there are other means to enable it. Traits like Primordian, Arbiter, and Timebreaker can provide additional resources.
