Fortnite Presents Orange Cubes, Everywhere, All At Once
Fortnite scattered a bunch of little orange cubes across the map, and now everyone has to go find them like it is a massive Easter egg hunt. These chaos cubes help track the Dark Voyager path across the island while showering players with a ton of XP just for stumbling upon them. Some of these cubes hide in obvious spots, while others sit in tough-to-reach locations that make a person question their life choices. Does the game really expect someone to check every single bush, bathtub, and food truck just to finish a quest?
A Massive Easter Egg Hunt Begins
The chaos cubes are part of the Path of the Voyager quest, which demands finding seventy of them in total, with forty-five currently in the game at the time of this writing. Luckily, they cluster in groups of five around various points of interest, so at least the hunt feels somewhat organized. These little cubes make a loud humming noise when close by, and an exclamation point appears to point the way. Running into a chaos cube or interacting with it collects the thing, no fancy button combos required.
New Sanctuary holds a handful of chaos cubes in some pretty creative hiding spots. One sits on a diving board in a white building south of Sus Studios, probably judging everyone who walks by. Another hides below a UFO being lifted by a magnetic crane at the southern tip of the area. A third chaos cube unlocks automatically for players, but getting it requires unlocking the vault at the bottom of New Sanctuary, which needs a key that Team Foundation has not even bothered to grab yet.
One hides inside a hidden cave accessible by taking a zipline down and breaking a tarp wall, or by approaching from the north and finding a bush blocking a secret entrance. Another chaos cube sits inside a white RV east of the Zero Point shard, because apparently RVs make great storage units for mysterious orange objects.
Checking Every Bush Like A Maniac
Wonkeeland offers its own set of chaos cubes for anyone willing to explore a theme park. One sits in a box on the second floor of a building at the docks on the northwestern tip of the island, tucked away like a forgotten gift. Another chaos cube hides on the bottom floor below the slide, and approaching from the north reveals a door that leads right to it.
One rests on top of the westernmost mountain peak overlooking Wonkeeland, because why not make players climb a mountain for a cube? Another chaos cube sits above the Wonkeeland statue near the theme park entrance, watching over everyone having fun below. The last one in this area hides inside a bush beside a small building, proving that no shrubbery is safe from the hunt.
Latte Landing hides its chaos cubes in spots ranging from obvious to downright sneaky. One sits between two tents on top of a cliff in the northwestern corner, practically begging to be spotted. Another chaos cube rests on a half-submerged boat in the northeastern corner, probably enjoying the water view.
One sits on a desk on the third floor of the Bun Voyage building in the southwestern corner, as if someone left it there after a coffee break. A chaos cube hides on a swing set on the east side of Latte Landing, looking almost innocent. The last one in this area hides inside a blue tent at the southern point, because tents make great camouflage for mysterious cubes.
Burgers And Cubes Go Together Somehow

Painted Palms spreads its chaos cubes across a snowy region and various food trucks. One sits under a canopy beside a UFO in the snowy region west of Painted Palms, enjoying the cold weather. Another chaos cube hides inside the Durrr Burger food truck on the west side, and destroying the truck works just as well as interacting with the cube.
One chaos cube sits inside Kendano Cheeves’ actor trailer on the south side, probably getting in the way of rehearsals. Another chaos cube hides under a large painted rock with a zipline, because rocks make great hiding spots. The last one in this area sits inside a plant’s mouth beside a crashlanded airship in the northeastern portion, which sounds like something out of a horror movie.
That Cube Is Taking A Pretend Bath
Dark Dominion hides its chaos cubes underground, on pillars, and inside bathtubs. One chaos cube sits inside a small black building northeast of Dark Dominion, accessible by breaking the glass on the western side. Another chaos cube rests on top of a pillar underground, reachable by heading under the Zero Point Shard and breaking any glass still in the way.
One chaos cube sits on a grill outside a red building southeast of Dark Dominion, probably getting cooked alongside some burgers. A chaos cube hides inside a bathtub in a blue-roofed building south of Dark Dominion, taking a pretend bath. The last one in this area rests on a fireplace mantel in a red-roofed house in the vineyard south of Dark Dominion, living a life of luxury.
Living The Spa Life On Hot Tubs
Fore Fields hides its chaos cubes on flags, near golf bags, and inside coolers. One chaos cube sits on top of a flag on an island in the northeastern corner, waving in the wind. Another chaos cube rests beside a golf bag and the three hundred sign in the northwestern area, probably judging everyone’s golf skills.
One chaos cube sits on top of a board game inside the southern building, waiting for someone to play. A chaos cube hides inside a red cooler by a tent in the southwestern area, so break that cooler open. The last one in this area rests on a sailboat in the southeastern corner, enjoying a nice day on the water. Humble Hills puts its chaos cubes on statues, in pools, and on hot tubs. One chaos cube rests on the Peely statue inside the northwestern building, giving that banana a friend.
Another chaos cube floats above the swimming pool beside the northeastern house, probably wishing it could swim. One chaos cube sits on top of a hot tub by the southeastern house, living the spa life. A chaos cube hides inside the Uncle Pete Pizza Pit food truck north of the Battlewood sign, getting saucy. The last one in this area rests on the back of the A in the Battlewood sign, showing off from up high.
A Spot That Sounds Completely Made Up
Sus Studios and Battlewood Boulevard round out the chaos cube hunt with some truly weird spots. One chaos cube sits on a cooking set with gnomes and little robots in Stage 2, because of course gnomes get involved. Another chaos cube rests on scaffolding above the sets in Stage 1, requiring a bit of climbing. One chaos cube sits on the second floor of the easternmost building, nothing too exciting there.
A chaos cube hides inside Cosmic Durrr Burger northeast of Sus Studios, because burgers and cubes go together somehow. Another chaos cube rests underneath the arm on the back of a construction vehicle on the sandy bridge east of Sus Studios, a spot that sounds made up but apparently exists. The chaos cubes in Battlewood Boulevard hide beside a film projector, on top of a rock climbing wall, in a kiddie pool, on a table, and inside a random building, because variety keeps things interesting.
Fortnite Turned Map Into Treasure Hunt
Fortnite turned the map into a massive treasure hunt with these chaos cubes, hiding them in every conceivable nook and cranny. Checking diving boards, food trucks, bathtubs, grills, coolers, and even plant mouths becomes part of the daily routine for anyone chasing that XP. The humming noise helps, but honestly, wandering around and breaking everything in sight works just as well.
For anyone willing to put in the time, collecting all these chaos cubes feels like a weird scavenger hunt across a battle royale island, and the XP payoff makes the whole ridiculous journey worthwhile. Just remember to check every single bush, because those cubes have a nasty habit of hiding where nobody thinks to look.
