Crimson Desert Brings Treasure Hunt Across The Continent
Crimson Desert hides some of the most devious treasure maps in any game, and piece 7 takes the crown for sheer absurdity. Most treasure hunts keep the loot relatively close to where the clue first appears, but this one throws that rule right out the window. Players can grab piece 7 from a model castle on the east side of Hernand, thinking they are about to dig up something nearby. Does running across an entire continent for one chest sound like fun or just mean-spirited level design?
Running Like A Confused Chicken
Piece 7 sends treasure hunters on a marathon across the whole of Pywel, so do not waste an hour running around Hernand like a confused chicken. The location depicted on that scrap of paper sits inside Delesyia Castle, all the way in the far eastern region of the map. That coastal city hangs out above the letter A in Delesyia on the world map, with the castle standing proudly in the eastern part of town. Getting there requires either a very long walk or some fast travel points that players might not have unlocked yet.
Piece 7 cannot be solved without the Visione helmet, which unlocks toward the start of Chapter 2, so do not bother heading to Delesyia Castle before grabbing that gear. The helmet lets players see hidden memories and interact with certain environmental puzzles, which becomes essential for accessing the secret chamber. Once through the main gate, cross the bridge into Delesyia Castle, take a left, walk a bit further, and look at the wall on the right. That wall has a brick frame matching the one in the treasure map, complete with little torch holders on either side.
A Magic Palm Strike Opens Vaults
Piece 7 requires a bit of climbing and a little magic to reach the hidden goodies. Holding up a lantern reveals a leaf symbol high up on the right side of that brick frame, marking a suspicious spot in the wall. Climbing up to reach that spot takes a bit of stamina management, so make sure the green bar has enough juice for a short ascent.
Using the dagger to Resist and hold onto the wall, then using Force Palm, spins that strange section of brick and opens access to a hidden chamber. Piece 7 leads to a locked room containing a chest with the Frozen Heart Plate chest armour inside. That chest piece not only looks incredibly cool, but it also packs high defence, making it a solid upgrade over whatever rags a player currently wears.
Getting out requires the same process as getting in, holding onto the wall again with Resist and using Force Palm to spin the mechanism back open. The whole process feels a bit like breaking into a bank vault using nothing but a magic palm strike and sheer determination.
No Hand Holding On This Hunt

Piece 7 exemplifies everything exhausting and rewarding about treasure hunting in this sprawling open world. The map gives almost no useful information about the actual location, forcing players to either recognize distant landmarks or just wander aimlessly until something clicks. Delesyia Castle sits so far from Hernand that anyone without fast travel points faces a journey longer than some real-world commutes.
The Visione helmet requirement adds another layer of frustration for anyone who stumbled upon the map early and rushed to the castle unprepared. Piece 7 ultimately rewards persistence with one of the better chest armours in the early to mid game. The Frozen Heart Plate offers enough defence to make a noticeable difference in combat, especially against bosses that hit like trucks.
The process of climbing walls, using Force Palm on suspicious brickwork, and navigating a hidden chamber feels appropriately secretive for a treasure hunt. That said, sending players across the entire map for a single chest seems excessive, even for a game that loves wasting time.
A False Sense Of Security Lures Players
Crimson Desert players hunting for piece 7 should pack snacks, charge their controllers, and mentally prepare for a cross-country trek. The map piece itself sits in an obvious spot on that Hernand model castle, luring unsuspecting explorers into a false sense of security. Delesyia Castle looks nothing like the sketch on the paper, which makes identifying the location feel like reading abstract art rather than following directions.
The Visione helmet requirement adds insult to injury, because anyone who rushes to the castle early just hits a wall and has to turn back. For those who persist, the Frozen Heart Plate makes a fine reward, offering both style and substance. Just do not expect the game to hold anyone hand along the way, because piece 7 exists to test patience as much as puzzle-solving skills.
