First Stand 2026 Match Preview: Already Facing Elimination
After one series, FearX and Team Secret Whales are on the brink of elimination. They will face each other in the first First Stand elimination match tomorrow. Both teams are coming off losses in their opening matches. BFX narrowly lost to Bilibili Gaming, while TSW lost 3-0 to G2 Esports, in a tight three-game series. Can TSW do the impossible and eliminate the LCK second seed from First Stand?
Recent Match History and Head-to-Head
With this being BFX’s first international appearance, they have never played against TSW. As mentioned previously, BFX and TSW lost their opening matches of First Stand. BFX were up 2-1 in their series, while TSW did not win a game. They came close, but did not have enough to win.
Featured Matchup
Raptor Versus Hizto
Hizto was TSW’s best player in their series against G2 Esports. He was the one who found angles in teamfights. While Pun had good laning phases, his mid-game fell off. Very often in BFX’s series, the winning team was decided by the impact of each jungler. Raptor did not perform to expectations in the series, but he was decent in the wins. Of all the matchups, on paper, the jungle matchup appears to be the most even for TSW.
The Solo Lane Early Impact

VicLa and Clear had suspect early games in their series against Bilibili Gaming. VicLa especially died for First Blood in four out of the five games. The pressure of facing Bin and Knight may have gotten to the BFX solo laners. Pun and Dire showed yesterday that they are willing to punish mistakes in the laning phase. Clear and VicLa will need better laning phases in tomorrow’s series. Them falling behind will not be as disastrous, but it will give TSW a win condition.
BFX should have the better teamfight and macro if they are even in the mid-game. It is pivotal for both Clear and VicLa to have better laning phases. They will need it for confidence in a potential rematch against Bilibili Gaming or a new matchup against G2 Esports.
Diable Could Prove Decisive

Diable earned his first international pentakill yesterday. When he solo laners were not behind early, he had the room to carry fights. He is a dominant AD Carry, and TSW must be mindful of his impact. Eddie and Bie will have to deal with a significantly stronger bot lane in the form of Diable and Kellin. The BFX bot lane earned multiple 2v2 kills on Bilibili Gaming’s bot lane.
If Eddie and Bie do not keep the BFX bot lane quiet, the series will end before it starts. Preventing Diable from getting a hyper-carry is unlikely. There are only so many times you can ban one of the hyper carry champions. The best way to remove them is through Fearless Draft. However, the series could be over by the time they get through that pool.
Prediction
FearX 3-0 Team Secret Whales
TSW nearly won a game against G2 Esports. However, not close enough to make the European team sweat. If they can not win a game against G2 Esports, they will likely falter against BFX. BFX’s true weaknesses were their solo laners’ early laning phase. TSW might exploit those problems, but do they have what it takes to match BFX in the mid-game? Given their struggles against G2 Esports, that aspect is unlikely. A game win for TSW will come as a surprise.
First Stand Impact
The winner of the series will move to the final match of Group A. They will play against the losing team from the qualification match. Their opponent is either Bilibili Gaming or G2 Esports.
