Marvel Rivals Season 7.5 Coming Very Soon – What Should You Expect?
Marvel Rivals is pumping updates out like it’s nothing, and the season 7.5 update is dropping real soon. Season 7 launched on March 20th and featured some amazing new content, including the newest character, White Fox, new gameplay systems, the new Lower Manhattan map, and many new events that have kept players busy.
Season 7.5 is set to go live next week and will feature some amazing new events and updates forMarvel Rivals. Here is all you need to know about the release date and what’s coming in season 7.5.
Release Date and Start Times
April 17 is the release date for Marvel Rivals season 7.5. The mid-season update is focused on the newest playable character in Marvel Rivals, Black Cat, the villain turned hero mutant, who also played as Spiderman’s on and off love interest in the Marvel comics. As a mutant with psionic abilities to influence her targets’ luck and fortune, it’ll be super interesting to see what kind of role she’ll play in team dynamics.
It’ll also be interesting to see how she’ll synergize with other available characters as well. From the key art, we can expect that she’ll have some interesting lore as well. Though Black Cat will be the biggest addition to Marvel Rivals in season 7.5, the update will jam-pack so much content from new events to lore to new game modes. Season 7.5
Season 7 dropped some major content, and 7.5 is dropping some pretty interesting things as well. One of the major updates in the 7.5 update is the introduction of Marvel Rivals’ newest character, Black Cat, the luck-altering mutant who brings misfortune to anyone she sets her sights on. Black Cat features in many Marvel animated series, like Spider-Man: The Animated Series, The Spectacular Spider-Man, the animated Spider-Man (2017), and the animated Spider-Man (1981).
However, Black Cat has actually never appeared in any live-action films or series. In 2018, a film titled Silver & Black was planned for development, and would focus on the female team duo of Black Cat and Silver Sable. Sony subsequently canceled the planned film; however, in 2020, the project was confirmed as a limited series to be released on Disney+, and it’s fitting that Black Cat will be the new playable character in Marvel Rivals, considering she will also be making her live-action debut in the new Spider-Noir series, releasing on Prime Video in May.
In addition, the update includes new events, cosmetic items, and additional content, and also lays the groundwork for future updates, including a new mode and map later in the season. The season 7.5 update will expand the current season and get players ready for the next one. It should also be noted that this is only a mid-season update, and will not reset the Battlepass or the progress you’ve made in it.
