We have been teased with some interesting information from the 2025 FNAF 2 SDCC panel about the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 movie. The film is set to be released in December 2025, and based on the information revealed at the 2025 San Diego Comic-Con, we can expect to see more scares and animatronics.

2025 FNAF 2 SDCC Panel Event

The 2025 San Diego Comic-Con convention hosted an FNAF 2 panel in Hall H, showcasing the official trailer for the upcoming movie with a few key guest speakers. Producer Jason Blum and Director Emma Tammi joined the fray and expressed their excitement for the sequel and the new animatronics. They made sure to thank The Jim Henson Company for the amazing work on the animatronics and puppeteering of the robo stars in the film. The panel also teased a cut scene, showing a few teens trespassing into a rundown Freddy’s and encountering a strange security guard before they can explore deeper into the restaurant.

Josh Hutcherson Teasing More Scares

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 crewmembers Josh Hutcherson, Piper Rubio, Skeet Ulrich, Theodus Crane, and Teo Briones were welcomed on stage to the delight of the audience, along with a video appearance of Matthew Lillard. The FNAF 2 SDCC panel teased a few details about the FNAF 2 film, with Hutcherson commenting about how the sets are bigger and more animatronics will be on the prowl. Co-star Ulrich, new to the FNAF movie franchise, gave the audience a hint into his character and their involvement with the events of the story.

FNAF 2 To the Cast

Tammi remarked how she became obsessed with the characters’ and mascots’ stories. Hutcherson expressed how he would like to cosplay as the Cupcake if given the choice, while Lillard said how honored he was for FNAF to be hosted in Hall H of the convention center, urging fans to see the movie. Lillard’s Scream co-star and friend Ulrich said that he was very grateful to be a part of the FNAF family and fandom. Based on how passionately the crew expressed their love at the FNAF 2 SDCC panel, we can expect more lore, more scares, and pure commitment in the sequel.
