Matt Murdock’s story in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will never be the same again. Charlie Cox, who plays Matt Murdock/Daredevil, spoke with ScreenRant‘s Liam Crowley about Matt’s huge reveal to the world that he is, in fact, Daredevil. The star actor expressed his shock when he found out about the shocking twist. He said, “When they told me on the phone, I was shocked because you can’t put that genie back in the box, unless you plan on using the Purple Man’s children from the comics.”

He added, “Anything big and bold, I like it. I’m up for it. Let’s do it. And I like the fact that Marvel often handles situations in the way they do. ‘Let’s do it and then we’ll figure out how to fix it if we need to,’ kind of thing. So it’s a great storyline.” Cox was asked how Matt, now being in prison, could create some complications for potential team-ups with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the future. He gave a very vague answer without giving anything away.

It has been rumored that Cox will reprise his role in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” though Cox has denied the rumors. Fans took those rumors to new heights after the finale of “Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Also, Marvel Studios nor the official cast of “Brand New Day” has officially confirmed or denied the alleged rumors.
