“The Boys” Drops Epic Posters & One More Trailer Before Its Final Season Premieres On April 8
As the final season of Eric Kripke’s “The Boys” draws closer, Amazon Prime has dropped two new posters and an action-packed trailer for the sure-to-be epic conclusion. Based on the graphic novels by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, “The Boys” centers on Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and his crew as they fight against the powerful Supes of the world, most notably Antony Starr’s Homelander.
With its satirical social commentary and excessive gore, “The Boys” takes a different approach to the superhero genre. Still, the show has managed to captivate audiences and critics alike, earning four Primetime Emmy Awards from 12 nominations. Between “The Boys” previous four seasons and two seasons of its spin-off, “Gen V,” “The Boys” final season has a lot of storyline to wrap up (although “Gen V” could continue the saga in a potential third season).
“The Boys” Drops Two Epic New Posters

The two most recent posters for “The Boys” final season depict the two sides of the upcoming battle. The first shows Billy Butcher at the center, surrounded by his crew, at the base of the heavily damaged Vought tower.
The other poster depicts Homelander and the rest of the Supes standing on top of Vought Tower. The sun forms a halo around Homelander’s head, as he floats in a Jesus-like pose, as that’s how he thinks of himself.
The posters are a nice nod to traditional superhero posters, while still capturing the unique vibe of “The Boys.” The images tease an all-out war between the two groups, and the trailer confirms that this is where the storyline is headed.
What Happens In Final Trailer?
The epic trailer nicely sets up the final season, teasing not only the return of all of our favorite characters but also the introduction of some interesting new faces. Homelander continues to seek more power, as Billy Butcher and his crew fight to stop him as they wage their war on Supes.
The trailer opens with Homelander declaring that his power is “absolute,” which doesn’t bode well for Butcher and his friends. Still, Butcher now has powers, too, which will undoubtedly lead to an epic showdown between the two foes. The trailer doesn’t show any of that fight, but it does offer a glimpse of a fight between Butcher and Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy, who will soon star in his own spinoff, “Vought Rising.”
The main part of the trailer ends with Homelander sitting in an empty Oval Office at the desk of the President of the United States, which doesn’t bode well for pretty much anyone. The trailer also checks in with most of the main cast members, from Jack Quaid’s Hughie to Erin Moriarty’s Starlight to Chace Crawford’s The Deep (who now has a podcast, because of course he does).
“The Boys” final season is shaping up to be a bloodbath of epic proportions, but the trailer promises plenty of laughs alongside the carnage. Few shows have managed to capture a unique blend of genres quite like “The Boys,” and the show’s final season looks to be a continuation of this trend.
A Supernatural Reunion?

“The Boys” final trailer also offers a glimpse of a reunion fans of the television series “Supernatural” have been highly anticipating. Alongside Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy, “Supernatural’s” Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins have also joined the show’s cast.
The three actors starred alongside one another for most of “Supernatural’s” fifteen seasons, as brothers Sam (Padalecki) and Dean (Ackles) Winchester and angel Castiel (Collins). “Supernatural’s” passionate fans have added to the hype for “The Boys’” final season, and it looks like the three actors will share at least one scene together.
Between the new posters and a new trailer, anticipation is high for “The Boys” final season, and fans can only hope that the season will live up to the considerable hype. The final season of “The Boys” premieres Wednesday, April 8 on Amazon Prime Video.
