Resident Evil Requiem – Barry’s Scavenger Hunt Full Guide

Resident Evil Requiem is set to launch tomorrow; however, people have already gotten to experience the game for themselves. The game looks absolutely stunning, and there are lots of different puzzles and side missions you can do, a completionist’s dream. One side mission you will come across is Barry’s Scavenger Hunt. Barry was a former S.T.A.R.S. member, a part of the Alpha team from the original Resident Evil game.

When you arrive at the Raccoon City Police Department, you stumble across a note left behind by Barry, where he leaves the finder of the note a set of clues that’ll take you on a scavenger hunt to find a couple of charms for your weapons. Doing the scavenger hunt proved to be incredibly nostalgic as it includes many references to previous games and characters. Here’s a full guide to complete Barry’s scavenger hunt in Resident Evil Requiem.

Barry’s Scavenger Hunt Full Guide

Clue # 1

To start the scavenger hunt, you’ll have to examine Chris’s jacket, which you can find in the 1F Operations Room. Once you interact with it, you’ll find a photo of a cluttered room with a chalkboard and a suspended TV. When you examine the photo, flip it around and read Barry’s note that says: “You kids have fun solving this one.”

In the same room, check the locker to find another photo, which is a zoomed-in image of a monitor. The back of this photo also has the same note from Barry. Afterwards, go downstairs to the 1F Operations Room and climb up the crates. Look towards the suspended TV, and you’ll be able to grab the Locker Key.

Reward # 1

Once you have the Locker Key, go to the 1F Office and use it to open JoJo’s Locker. Inside, you’ll discover the STARS Emblem Charm. You can equip it on automatic guns, and it increases their firepower; however, it will cause you to sway your weapon a lot more. This will be the first reward you can get during the scavenger hunt.

Clue # 2

If you go back to the 2F STARS Office, look for Barry’s To-Do List on one of the desks. One of the tasks of the To-Do List mentions finding a missing library book as a top priority because the police captain, Albert Wesker, checked it out last. Afterwards, go inside Wesker’s office and examine the photo of the STARS team. Then, open the drawer, and a library book card should appear.

The book card will show that Wesker had already returned the book, which is called Medicinal Benefits of Herbs. You need to go up towards the 2F Library and go up the staircase to find this book. Cross the gap, and once you find the book, open it, and inside, you’ll find a photo of Rebecca Chambers in her basketball outfit. When you examine the photo, flip it around to see the clue: “Rising Rookie Rebecca.” This will lead you to the second reward in the scavenger hunt.

Reward # 2

Return to the 2F STARS Office. You’ll be able to interact with the briefcase in the Armory. The combination requires three letters, and with the second clue you found, which is the photo of Rebecca, the combination will be the first three letters of every word on the back of the photo: R-R-R. The briefcase will open, and you’ll receive the Power Shades Charm, which can be equipped on the Requiem Magnum. It offers limitless bullet penetration and increases the firepower of the last bullet in the cylinder.
