Resident Evil Requiem: Finding Missing Code For the S.T.A.R.S. Briefcase Puzzle
In Resident Evil Requiem, when Leon returns to the ruins that once were Raccoon City, he has to go back to where his life changed forever: The Raccoon City Police Department. With all the wonderful memories flooding his brain, Leon needs to unlock a briefcase with a combination lock. And you don’t want to miss the awesome item locked inside that can aid you in your shootouts with the Requiem. To do so, locate a book that contains the code.
Agent Leon Is On The Case!
Walking through the doors of the Raccoon City Police Department, you’re practically on a tour of Resident Evil 2 Remake’s groundwork. In the S.T.A.R.S. precinct locker room, you will find a locked briefcase that contains an item you will need for another puzzle. The clues for the combination code can be found without wandering far. Before you start throwing stuff around, read all of the files you can interact with. Barry’s file has a To-Do list that mentions a missing book Wesker had last.
Finding The Library Book Card
The first clue is a library card inside the S.T.A.R.S. office desk. Open the top left drawer behind the desk to find it hidden in a crevice, where it will fall out after a few seconds. If you’re impatient, you can shoot or whack the desk, and the card will fall from its hiding place. The card is for a book titled “Medicinal Benefits of Herbs.”
Finding Rebecca (The Code)
Get out of the office and head towards the Library. Run up the staircase and cross the bridge to get to the left side of the second floor. You will find the library book located on a bookshelf on the right-hand side of the door. Pick up the book and examine it; it will open to show a picture of Rebecca Chambers in an RPD cheerleader uniform. The back of the photo bears the message “Raising Rookie Rebecca” in handwriting; thus, the code is RRR for the briefcase.
A Requiem Charm
Return to the locker room and enter “RRR” on the briefcase. Inside, you’ll find a powerful charm shaped like sunglasses, reminiscent of the style worn by a certain notable character (cough Wesker cough!). This charm grants your weapon limitless bullet penetration, so shots can pass through every enemy in the line of fire, and increases the damage of the final bullet loaded in the Requiem, making your last shot in each magazine especially potent.
