Review: Rob Zombie’s New Single “(I’m a) Rock ‘N’ Roller” – 3rd Release from Upcoming Album
Yeah – you thought it was safe to turn off the radio – but no – Rob Zombie is back to remind us all why he’s the reigning king of the shock-rock castle – or the dungeon. The industrial metal titan has just unleashed his latest track, a boot-stomping anthem titled “(I’m A) Rock ‘N’ Roller.” If you’ve been craving that signature Zombie grit – think growling, thick grooves, fist-pumping choruses, and just enough camp to keep it fun – this new single delivers in spades.
The Great Satan Arrives…and We Can’t Wait!
This track serves as the third taste of his highly anticipated eighth studio album, The Great Satan, which is set to drop on February 27, 2026, via Nuclear Blast Records. Following up on 2021’s The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy (umm… a title that still requires a deep breath to say out loud), this new record seems determined to revisit the Hellbilly roots that made us all fall in love with the dang dreadlocked Dragula driver in the first place.
The Great Satan Marks Rob Zombie’s Return to Form
Lately Zombie has been juggling his film career and music for decades, and sometimes the balance shifts. But with The Great Satan, it feels like the focus is squarely back on the music. The new single joins previous releases “Punks And Demons” and “Heathen Days” to paint a picture of an album that is here to stay. Zombie is making a loud and screaming declaration that rock & roll isn’t just undead, it’s alive and still freakin’ kicking.
The album tracklist also promises some wild rides with titles like “Sir Lord Acid Wolfman” (huh) and “Revolution Motherf*ckers.” If that doesn’t scream classic brutal Zombie, we can’t figure out what h*ll does.
Controversy and The Summer Tour
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Rob Zombie cycle without a little friction. While fans are hyped for the new music, the internet is already buzzing about his decision to hit the road this summer with Marilyn Manson. For anybody not paying attention, shock rocker Manson has had some legal issues of late.
The “Freaks on Parade” style reunion is stirring up heated debates given the sexual allegations surrounding Manson over the last few years. But controversy has never stopped Zombie before, so why should it now? With The Great Satan looming, it looks like 2026 is going to be a loud, messy, and undeniably heavy year for the horror icon.
