Grammy Winner Sierra Ferrell Announces Big 2026 ‘Heavy Petal’ Tour
Coming off a huge Grammy weekend that saw her take home four awards, Americana artist Sierra Ferrell has announced a 5-month, 33-date tour. The “Heavy Petal” Tour will see the singer cover both Europe and North America. Here is a look at both the artist and the tour.
Who Is Sierra Ferrell?

Ferrell got her start singing Shania Twain covers in bars in her native West Virginia. She eventually joined a Grateful Dead cover band that later evolved into a roots jam band. The singer spent her early twenties traveling the country, busking to make ends meet. Ferrell self-released her first two albums in 2018 (Pretty Magic Spell) and 2019 (Washington by the Sea) before being discovered by producer Gary Paczosa (Dolly Parton, Allison Krauss).
With Paczosa’s help, Ferrell signed with Rounder Records in 2019. Ferrell’s first album with the indie label, Long Time Coming, was released in 2021. Paczosa co-produced the album, which featured established roots artists like Sarah Jarosz, Billy Strings, Chris Scruggs, and 14-time Grammy-winner Jerry Douglas. Ferrell was named Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2022 Americana Music Honors Awards.
Ferrell followed that up in 2024 with her critically acclaimed fourth album, Trail of Flowers. The album was the 37-year-old singer’s first to chart on the Billboard 200. She won Artist of the Year and Album of the Year at the 2024 Americana Music Honors Awards. Ferrell then swept all four of her Grammy categories in 2025, winning Best Americana Album, Best American Roots Song, Best Americana Performance, and Best Americana Roots Performance. Over the years, she has also collaborated with artists like Post Malone, The Black Keys, Ray LaMontagne, Shakey Graves, Zach Bryan, Shaboozey, and Lukas Nelson.
