Chris Brown and Usher Announce Epic 2026 Joint R&B Tour, Fans React Worldwide
Chris Brown has announced his next tour will be with Usher this summer. During the week, Brown teased that he would make an announcement on social media on Friday, April 10, to build excitement. But this morning, Team Breezy woke up to not one but three surprises: a new song, a new album announcement, and a joint tour, the “R&B” tour, short for both artists’ last names, Raymond and Brown.
Usher & Chris Brown Hit the Road
Fans are already reacting to the news of Chris Brown and Usher going on tour. The superstar duo has not announced any dates or cities yet, but they did release a video to confirm the tour.
In the minute-long video, the “New Flame” singers are speeding through the city on a motorcycle. The fan received a tour notification and ran towards the stadium. The video ends with Brown and Usher together riding up the elevator to the stadium.
Usher says, “Its Time,” and Brown responds, “hell yeah.” Many fans will agree because the two have teased a joint tour on several occasions, popping up on each other’s tour.
The Grammy-winning singers recently did mega stadium tours, giving fans a preview of what to expect. Ladies can expect a meet-and-greet and for the artist to pull a lady on stage to serenade. Both Brown and Usher have hits together, and they are high-energy performers; the R&B artist will most likely have a set together to showcase their artistry.
Fans Clash Over Joint Tour
The internet quickly reacted, making memes and jokes about the joint tour. The internet is divided on whether they are anticipating the tour or if the “Party” singer should have left the tour, as just a thought.
For example, one user on X praised the idea and wrote, “This tour will be a huge success- I think all the tickets will be sold out within 5 minutes! Both artists have amazing songs! Their performance will be epic!” Another fan cosigned the idea, writing, “This is HISTORY right here, definitely 💯 will be one for The Books.”
But on the other hand, Usher’s relationship with Diddy and Chris Brown’s past seem to be major factors in why music fans don’t want a joint tour. One social media user wrote, referring to the “Under the Influence” singer, “So you’re touring with someone who beats up ladies?
A X fan also commented on Usher’s actions, stating, “Defending Diddy last week… Tour with Chris Brown this week.. a very unnatural allegiance to losers and horrible people.”
Usher Stands by Sean Combs
Usher’s stance on Diddy’s conviction and his contributions to the music industry have him in hot water. In a March interview with Forbes, Usher shed light on his experience with Sean Combs, also known as Diddy. Diddy is currently in jail on charges related to sex crimes. The past couple of years, the entertainment world has side-eyed the relationship the two share after Diddy mentored Usher at a young age.
In the interview, the “Superstar” singer speaks highly of Combs and expresses how he can only speak from his experience with Diddy, not what the public thinks, and that his contribution to black entrepreneurs should not be tarnished but seen as a legacy.
Usher states, “I don’t have anything negative to say about Sean Combs because my experience was not what the world has seen and how he’s been misrepresented.”
Pending Summer 2026 Anthem
The “R&B” tour is scheduled for summer 2026, but that is all fans know right now. More information will probably come around Brown’s birthday, May 5, or around the release of his next album, Brown, releasing May 8. While you are waiting for tour updates, listen to the first song from Chris Brown’s upcoming album, Brown, “Obvious.” The song is available on all platforms.
