Dynamite Entertainment’s new Ben 10 comic has passed 500,000 copies ordered across its first five issues, the publisher announced Sept. 29. The figure comes from final order cutoff numbers for issues No. 1 through No. 5, meaning it reflects copies ordered by retailers rather than final sales to readers, ICv2 reported.

The first issue alone topped 112,000 copies, and orders for issue No. 2 surpassed the debut, according to ICv2. Dynamite CEO Nick Barrucci said he is “proud of the fact that fans love the new ‘Ben 10’ series,” crediting the creative team, editors, sales staff and retailers, Comic Book Club reported.

Original creators behind the Ben 10 comic

The series is run by Man of Action Entertainment, the studio founded by the four creators of the original Cartoon Network show. Joe Casey and Steven T. Seagle wrote the first five issues, Duncan Rouleau draws the covers and Joe Kelly is set to contribute later, according to Dynamite’s announcement, as published by First Comics News.

The title is licensed through Dynamite’s partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products.

What’s coming next

The main series takes a break in October for “Ben 10: Creator Files,” a behind-the-scenes special that arrives in stores Oct. 7.

Issue No. 6 of the Ben 10 comic, written by Casey, launches Nov. 4. All of its main covers come with a free poster of new Rouleau art. The first collected edition of issues No. 1 through No. 5 is due the same day, in paperback and hardcover.

‘The best that Ben 10 has ever been’

When the Ben 10 comic was announced in October 2025, Casey set a high bar. “‘Ben 10’ is obviously very close to our hearts, and has been for the last twenty years, so we’re psyched to finally present a vision of Ben and his mythology in the manner and format that we’ve always wanted to see,” he said, according to ComicBook.com.

“This is basically a straight-up superhero comic that’s going to compete with every major series out there,” Casey added. “We guarantee, this is the best that ‘Ben 10’ has ever been.”

The animated series debuted in 2005 and followed Ben Tennyson, a boy who finds the Omnitrix, a watch-like device that lets him transform into alien heroes. For more new releases, check our Top Comics This Week roundup and the latest books and comics coverage.
