To keep the momentum going for Love Lasts Forever, Lone released five bonus tracks that will be featured on a deluxe version of the album.

When Destroy Lonely dropped his second album on Aug. 30, the tracklist contained 18 songs with three bonus cuts. Apple Music described the album as “a truly chameleonic and shifting body of work.” In an article by Hot News Hip Hop (HNHH), this Atlanta-based artist has created multiple tracklists for every project he makes. In his quote, Destroy Lonely explained that there were songs that he felt were ready to be heard by fans.
He decided to drop the five additional songs on Sept. 3. Tracks include “The Bounce,” “Make a Sound,” “See You Tomorrow,” “Meet The Boss,” and “Bling.” HNHH said the five bonus tracks for Love Last Forever are available for digital download exclusively in the U.S. The download runs at $5.

Last week, Billboard announced Destroy Lonely had his first certified number-one hit on their Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums with Love Lasts Forever. In addition, the album has also had a good showing on the Billboard 200, charting at number 10. In addition, Destroy Lonely’s first single with Lil Uzi Vert, “Love Hurts,” entered the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at number 50. Billboard reported that “Love Hurts” was the highest-streamed song from the new album.
Critical Masses
Before listening to the album, it was hard to know what to expect from the sophomore release from Destroy Lonely. A review from The Washington Post posed the question, is the new Destroy Lonely album the new normal for rap music? As an artist on Playboi Carti’s label, Opium, the article suggested that this album follows a stylish formula to create a more common style of rap music.
The author also commented on how Love Last Forever uses common tropes often used by rappers – money, cars, and clothes. In a review from Pitchfork, the new album was described as flashy beats and sugary vocals. The author was nostalgic for the early days of Lonely’s career, indicating they disliked the multiple tropes on the new release.
