Armor Set bonuses in Destiny 2 are a new feature added with the Edge of Fate. They are not the most influential, but they can add the final piece to your build. Each Armor set comes with two bonuses. The two-piece will give you a moderate bonus, while the four-piece has an additional benefit. In total, you can have two bonuses active at one time while using an Exotic.

Destiny 2 Armor Set Bonuses

There are eight new armor sets in Destiny 2 with their set bonuses:

  • Aion Adapter
  • Aion Renewal
  • Bushido
  • Collective Psyche
  • Last Discipline
  • Lustrous
  • Techsec
  • Twofold Crown

Aion Adapter

The Aion Adapter set drops from Kepler after you unlock it by completing the Explore Kepler: Mythic questline.

  • Two-piece bonus: Force Absorption
    • Final blows with any rocket or grenade launcher temporarily decrease incoming AoE damage.
  • Four-piece bonus: Reactive Shock
    • When Force Absorption is active, taking melee damage causes you to emit a disorienting burst once.

Aion Renewal

The Aion Renewal set drops from any Kepler activity from the moment you land on the destination.

  • Two-piece bonus: Force Converter
    • Final blows with any rocket or grenade launcher grant Speed Booster when you next sprint.
  • Four-piece bonus: Reactive Booster
    • When Force Converter is active, sprinting while at critical health or receiving a crown control effect will immediately start Speed Booster

Bushido

Completing Pinnacle Ops encounters and the entire activity has a chance to award armor from the Bushido set.

  • Two-piece bonus: Iaido
    • Final blows with freshly drawn or reloaded weapons heal you.
  • Four-piece bonus: Unfaltering Focus
    • Bow, Shotgun, or Sword kills temporarily reduce incoming damage. Damaging targets with those weapons extends the effect.

Collective Psyche

The Collective Psyche armor set drops from any encounter and secret chest in The Desert Perpetual Raid.

  • Two-piece bonus: Accretion
    • Picking up an ammo brick gives you a stacking bonus to weapon swap and stow speeds until you die.
  • Four-piece bonus: Doppler Effect
    • Suspend, unravel, and Sever effects applied to targets have increased duration. Radiant and Restoration effects have increased duration.

Last Discipline

Completing PvP activities has a chance to drop armor from the Last Discipline armor set.

  • Two-piece bonus: Terminal Velocity
    • Final blows with primary weapons grant them temporarily increased reload speed.
  • Four-piece bonus: Power Loader
    • Picking up an Orb of Power grants special ammo progress.

Lustrous

You only have a week from the posting of this article to acquire the Lustrous armor set. You have to play during the Solstice Event to get the armor set.

  • Two-piece bonus: Photogalvanic
    • When healed, gain bonus handling, reload speed, and flinch resistance for Solar weapons.
  • Four-piece bonus: Cauterize
    • Rapid Solar final blows heal you.

Techsec

The Techset armor drops from any Solo and Fireteam activities.

  • Two-piece bonus: Wrecker
    • You deal significantly increased Kinetic damage to combatant shields, overshields, vehicles, and constructs.
  • Four-piece bonus: Concussive Rounds
    • Defeating powerful combatants or breaking a combatant’s shield with Kinetic damage releases a disorienting Kinetic shockwave.

Twofold Crown

When the Trials of Osiris game mode is live, players can earn the Twofold Crown armor set.

  • Two-piece bonus: Crock and Flail
    • Picking up an ammo brick restores health.
  • Gift of Sight
    • Primary weapon kills grant enhanced radar for a short duration.
