On Tuesday afternoon, rock legend Dave Grohl made a shocking confession that sent shockwaves across social media. The Foo Fighters frontman disclosed that he and a woman outside of his marriage are the new parents to a daughter. Dave Grohl has not posted on his Instagram account, @davetruestories, in 45 weeks. The page was established to promote his book, The Storyteller: Tales of Life and Music. That changed earlier today when Grohl made a post explaining that he has had a new baby daughter with a person who is not his wife.
In the post, Grohl said he plans “to be a loving and supportive parent” to the child before speaking of his love for Jordyn Blum and their three children. “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he stated, adding that he was grateful “for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

According to a report by Fox News, Dave Grohl’s first marriage ended in divorce. In 1994, Grohl married Jennifer Leigh Youngblood, a photographer. After three years together, the couple divorced after allegations of infidelity on Grohl’s behalf. According to a Daily Mail article, Grohl had a three-year courtship with Jordyn Blum before the two married in 2003. Since then, the couple has welcomed three daughters: Violet, Harper, and Ophelia.
