Daily Devotional Friday Faith | July 17, 2026
Happy Friday! It’s time for your daily devotional. Hebrews 11 lists heroes of faith, men and women who lived by faith even in adversity. Psalm 34:19 declares, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. In today’s daily devotional, their examples show God keeps you safe when you walk by faith.
God Is With You
Hebrews 11:20 says, “By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.” Chosen to inherit the Abrahamic covenant, Jacob became the patriarch of the twelve tribes of Israel. Enduring trials, he helped fulfil God’s promise that his seed would become a great nation. Before dying, Jacob prophesied the future role the tribes would have on earth. Judah is the one from whom “the sceptre shall not depart.”
Judah would produce kings, beginning with David, whose life was filled with adversity though chosen to be king. Through him would come the ultimate King of Kings, who “learned obedience by the things He suffered.” In your daily devotional, your life won’t be a walk in the park, but God is with you as you walk by faith.
Trust the God of Your Salvation
Joseph experienced rejection at home and hard trials in Egypt before God raised him to rule in Egypt as he kept walking by faith. Then there was Moses, who was born at a time when Pharaoh was killing infants, but God protected him and made him a deliverer of God’s people from bondage.
God performed miracles through Moses, including the ten plagues, the parting of the Red Sea, and water from a rock. He fed them manna from heaven and protected them in the wilderness as Moses walked by faith. In this daily devotional, know that you can walk through any trial you face by trusting the God of your salvation.
God Has Good Things in Store

The walls of Jericho came down because the Israelites walked by faith around them for seven days at God’s command. Rahab the harlot and her household were the only survivors of Jericho’s destruction because she chose to have faith in the God of Israel. Walking by faith isn’t easy, but it’s the way of life that pleases God. It’s believing His Word despite everything you see in the natural.
One preacher said faith is “acting like the word of God is true.” In today’s daily devotional, trust that He has good things in store for you. In Jeremiah 29:11, God declares, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Supernatural Strength by God
Hebrews 11:32 continues by highlighting others who walked by faith. Gideon defeated an entire Midianite army with 300 men. Barak fought an undefeated Canaanite army led by Sisera through divine intervention, leaving no survivors. Samson was given supernatural strength by God and defeated the Philistines, Israel’s enemy. Even in death, he brought destruction to more than he had in life.
The Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephtah to crush the Ammonite army that rose against Israel. In your daily devotional, some were considered the least in their families, castaways, or insecure, but as God used them to do exploits, He can use you too.
You Must Keep Walking by Faith
In Friday’s daily devotional, verse 32 ends with Samuel, God’s prophet who anointed the first kings of Israel, and the prophets of old who faced hardships and even death for proclaiming the word of the Lord. In today’s daily devotional, like many who came before you, stay faithful during times of adversity and keep walking by faith.
