Daily Devotional Wednesday Wisdom | July 1, 2026
It’s Wednesday, and time for your daily devotional. A pastor recently preached a sermon entitled “Act Like You Have a God,” to encourage believers to know who their God is and not doubt what He can do. For instance, you know it’s His will to heal, so you don’t pray, “If it be thy will.” When you know God is your Father, you bring Him your requests. In today’s daily devotion, live by Mark 9:23: “All things are possible to him that believeth.”
Nothing He Can’t Do
When you believe in God, you align your thoughts with his word. The things of this world pale in comparison to the greatness of your God. He is the omnipotent Creator of heaven and earth, and there’s nothing He can’t do. So instead of walking around acting like you have a problem, you should act like you have a God.
Throughout the Bible, God has proven Himself faithful. Having contradictory thoughts hinders your view of God. In your daily devotional, you can’t be on the fence about God; you must believe He is who He says He is.
All Things Are Possible
You must know that all things are possible when you believe God is Almighty. Your greatest honor is to be a son or daughter of God. Your Father sits on the highest throne in the universe, and He has all power in His hands. When your mind, thoughts, and emotions are aligned with His, you can believe Him for what seems impossible. Faith is what pleases God, so whenever you act in faith, you’re pleasing Him.
You’re not responsible for outcomes. Your job is to believe God. When you please God that’s all that matters. The rest is not your responsibillity. In this daily devotional, when you pray, give it to Him and begin praising Him for what you’re believing for. That’s expressing your faith.
You Belong to Him

Nothing is impossible with God, and as His child, you belong to Him. Therefore, He loves you and wants to give you good things. The father of the Prodigal Son is a perfect example of a good father. Overjoyed to see his son return home safely, he ran to greet him, placed an expensive ring and robe on him, and had a feast in his honor. The Prodigal would’ve been content as a servant, but to the father, he was forever his son. In today’s daily devotional, you’re always God’s child. He will never disown or disinherit you.
Weapons of Your Warfare
God wants you to be strong in the power of His might. So there’s more to life than receiving gifts. As a son, you’re to “grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” He wants you to be a soldier who’s not afraid to go into battle, fighting for what God has provided for you.
It requires the weapons of your warfare, which include, among other items, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit. In your daily devotional, the helmet protects your mind, which is to focus on God. Also, you’re to know the word of God and stand firm on it.
Believe God When You’re in the Trenches
In Wednesday’s daily devotional, don’t think God’s love won’t require anything from you that seems difficult. Evidence that you believe God isn’t just when everything feels nice and cushy. You must believe Him when you’re in the trenches. In today’s daily devotion, He is your Almighty Father, so act like you have a God!
