Daily Devotional Tuesday Thoughts | June 30, 2026
It’s Tuesday, and time for your daily devotional. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, God has given you a sound mind. You can walk free of fear, which is Satan’s tool to ensnare you. Walk in power and love, which are from God. Don’t settle for less than God’s best. In today’s daily devotional, take the time to thank God for your mind. He has given you one capable of overcoming any fear you face.
Fear is a Spirit
Fear is a spirit that tries to hinder you from God’s plan. It’ll dominate your thought life if you let it. Fear is part of the world you live in. You should have a healthy fear of getting too close to fire or neglecting your health, but focusing on the “what ifs” in life is unhealthy. Fear disguises itself as worry, anxiety, insecurity, paranoia, and other negative emotions.
You may think these feelings are perfectly natural; however, they rob you of the freedom God desires for you. In your daily devotional, the enemy is secretly working against you to bring situations in your life to lead you into fear. However, you don’t have to fall for it.
God Has Given You Power
The scripture says God hasn’t given you the spirit of fear, but He’s given you power. What does it mean that God has given you power? Jesus gave you power to tread on all the works of the devil. The Greek word for “power” here is authority. Jesus defeated Satan. It’s a done deal, and He’s given you the authority to keep him in his place.
Always remember that you’re on the winning side. The enemy will try to confuse you, but don’t lose sight of your victory because “greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” In this daily devotional, you’re empowered with the authority to bind the devil in Jesus’ name.
Love is a Gift

Love is a gift of the Spirit. When you’re born again, love is planted in your heart as a seed. You receive God’s nature. God is love; therefore, you’re to walk in love. Cultivate your seed by watering it with the Word, so it grows healthy and strong. Fear has been called False Evidence Appearing Real, so don’t let it stop you from developing your seed.
Love is stronger than fear, for I John 4:18 says, “Perfect love casts out fear.” Stay in love by abiding in the True Vine. Abide in the Vine, and keep fear out. Refuse to let a defeated foe subjugate you. Say this out loud in your daily devotional, “I walk in God’s power and love. Fear is the opposite of faith, and I choose faith.”
Taking Thoughts Captive
Embrace God’s way of thinking, and the enemy will no longer hold any sway over you. You won’t live in worry, anxiety, or insecurity because you’ll overcome these negative emotions by taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Set your mind on things above this world. In your daily devotional, have you ever noticed that when you focus on worldly things, you feel dismayed? However, when you focus on God’s word, you feel joy.
You’re an Overcomer in Christ
In Tuesday’s daily devotional, God has given you power and a sound mind. You’re no longer bound to fear. Worldly people don’t experience this because they refuse to let go of fear. But don’t conform to this world; be transformed by the renewing of your mind. In today’s daily devotional, realize you’re an overcomer!
