49ers running back and future Hall of Famer Christian McCaffrey and gorgeous model Olivia Culpo became husband and wife over the weekend. The two said “I do” in Rhode Island on June 29th in a beautiful but simple ceremony. Classy and elegant are two other perfect descriptors for Ms. Culpo’s look. McCaffrey and Culpo have been together since 2019 and have been engaged for over a year. It was about time for the running back to lock it down. After all, Culpo broke her rule of not dating another athlete for him. It’s the least he could do.
The Couple’s Wedding Day
The lovely couple tied the knot in Rhode Island, Culpo’s home state. They had the ceremony at Watch Hill, in Westerly. The couple both agreed that a wedding in a church was the only way to go. They were also fairly traditional in the sense that McCaffrey never caught a glimpse of his lady in her beautiful gown before she walked down the aisle.
Olivia Culpo Talks Wedding Dress And Marriage
Culpo had a vision of the perfect dress in her mind. She wanted long sleeves and a modern look. A unique choice for a young woman who rarely opts for a more covered-up look for events. The model worked together with a Dolce & Gabbana designer to create the perfect gown. Olivia was very intentional about not ‘exuding sex’ at all in her wedding look.
She was also thinking about her husband-to-be’s preferences, saying: “When I think about Christian and what he loves and the moments that he thinks that I’m most beautiful, it’s absolutely in something like this: timeless, covered and elegant.” She completely nailed that look. Most of us drive to our wedding in a limo if we’re lucky, but that won’t do for Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo. Oh no, they needed to cruise to their ceremony on a private plane. However, we can all identify with needing to make room for the pooch. The couple’s puppy came along with them in the arms of Culpo.
There is one benefit to dating an athlete that the model is taking advantage of: someone is always there to carry all your luggage. McCaffrey will be able to skip weightlifting now that he has his and Culpo’s bags to carry for every place they travel to. Where did the couple go for their honey moon? No one knows yet.
