Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Continues Its Exciting Tale

Jurassic World Chaos Theory

Dreamworks has unleashed the much-anticipated third season of its animated drama, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory! The new recently-premiered installment continues the grown-up adventures of Camp Cretaceous’ beloved Nublar Six. Previously, the friend group was being hunted by someone using trained dinosaurs following Brooklynn’s death. They then discover that someone called the Broker is creating and selling the prehistoric reptiles. Another thing they learn is Brooklynn is alive and working alongside the Broker, Soyona Santos. Now that Season Three is out, what kind of adventures do our protagonists get into?

Chaos Theory Brings New Dino-Sized Thrills

Chaos Theory Season Three continues immediately after the previous one, with Brooklynn leaving with Santos. The remaining Nublar Six, now possessing Bumpy’s egg, are left dumbfounded and hurt. They try flying home, but their plane goes down at the Swiss-Italy border. Luckily, Ben leads them to the residence of his girlfriend and aspiring paleontologist, Gia. The egg later hatches, bringing forth a squeaky newborn Ankylosaurus the team names Smoothie. It isn’t until after a Pyroraptor attack that the group separates, with half following Brooklynn.

As for Brooklynn, she’s fitted with a new robot prosthetic arm while working with Santos. She works on gathering evidence to put her ‘business partner’ away for good. Brooklynn reunites with Darius, Yaz, and Ben in Malta, where a dinosaur black market resides. Together, they and French Intelligence take down Santos and end her illegal operations. But the four do-gooders are soon headed to Biosyn Valley, where Kenji and Sammy are.

Tying Into Jurassic World: Dominion

Chaos Theory mostly took place before the events of Jurassic World: Dominion. Things change because Season Three takes place during the events of the movie. This aspect prominently comes to light after Darius, Ben, and Yaz go to Malta. They arrive around the same time Claire Dearing and Owen Grady do in Dominion. The Camp Fam even gets caught up in the chaos following the black market’s destruction. We’re also gifted a new angle of Santos getting cornered by Barry and French Intelligence.

Aside from events, characters and creatures from Dominion appear in this exciting season. Lewis Dodgson and Barry Sembène return as key characters while maintaining their movie roles. We also get mentions of Owen, Claire, Rainn Delacourt, Maisie Lockwood, and Beta. The under-utilized Pyroraptor from the film receives an expanded antagonist role with horror flick tones. However, the most important animal to debut is the mutant locust created by Biosyn Genetics. It serves as a looming reminder of what’s to come next for Chaos Theory.

Setting Up Season Four

The Nublar Six may have taken down Santos, but their work is far from over. Brooklynn learns that Biosyn is creating more trained assassin dinosaurs like the Atrociraptors. So she, Darius, Yaz, and Ben travel to Biosyn Valley to stop the operations. Simultaneously, Sammy and Kenji arrive at the exact location to reunite Smoothie and Bumpy. These developments mean Season Four will occur during the final moments of Dominion. Unfortunately, they also mean our beloved Nublar Six will endure insane trials.

The team will likely get caught in the wildfire caused by Dodgson. And they’ll have to contend with the area’s deadliest dinosaurs like the Giganotosaurus and Therizinosaurus. They might even encounter the territorial Quetzalcoatlus if the timing is right. Nevertheless, a rough time awaits the Nublar Six and could cost them everything. We can only hope their luck doesn’t finally run and they make it out alive.

Final Verdict and Thoughts

After watching multiple times, I give Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season Three a perfect 10! The pacing was good, the more mature atmosphere carried over, and the plot felt cohesive. Plus, it uses the potential Jurassic World: Dominion seemed to waste. There was still plenty of tension-breaking humor, calm moments, and heart-pounding dinosaur action. I sincerely couldn’t find any worthwhile negative points throughout this 10-episode chapter. And something tells me Chaos Theory Season Four will be as good or even better.
