Recall that the internet personality passed away recently at 25, leaving her fans devastated. Following her passing, the public remained in darkness about what led to her death. Many wondered if it was a health issue, as Taylor had previously revealed she was unwell. Following the tragedy, Taylor’s family has confirmed that she passed from complications from a health issue.

The Cause of Taylor’s Death Revealed

On Thursday, five days after Taylor Rousseau Grigg passed away, her family opened up about the cause of death. In a statement, a family representative told Today.com that the content creator died on October 4 from asthma and Addison’s disease. According to Mayo Clinic, Addison’s disease, also called adrenal insufficiency, is a chronic condition. It occurs when the adrenal glands don’t produce enough cortisol and aldosterone. This can cause weight loss, fatigue, depression, joint pain, nausea, and many other symptoms. In another statement, a source close to Taylor’s family confirmed to People that she died from a “severe asthma attack and resulting complications.”

Taylor Rousseau Grigg’s husband, Cameron Grigg, announced the news of his wife’s demise on social media on October 5. Taking to his Instagram page, he shared a collection of photos of both of them together throughout the years. Cameron accompanied the pictures with a long and emotional tribute. “No one ever expects to have to deal with this kind of pain and heartache, especially at our age,” he began. Cameron explained that in the last year, Taylor dealt with more pain and suffering than most people would in their lifetime. However, despite the challenges, Cameron said his wife always brought joy to everyone around her.

He also shared that the family was planning to donate the 25-year-old’s organs to people in need. According to him, Taylor wanted to know that she had saved people’s lives, even after her death. Elsewhere in the lengthy caption, Cameron revealed there was a GoFundMe set up to help with finances. He revealed that Taylor Rousseau Grigg had been in and out of hospital since they got married, which affected their financial situation. Hence, they didn’t have insurance. For those unable to contribute financially, Cameron shared that prayers for the family were needed. “I love y’all. Taylor loves y’all. Thank you for all the support and kind words during this time,” he finished.

Taylor Updates Fans on Her Health

Before her demise, Taylor Rousseau Griggs was open about her health and her life as an asthmatic. In March 2024, she took to Instagram with several photos from a hospital bed. In one of the snaps, the influencer was hooked into what appeared to be a breathing machine. A few months later, Taylor shared that she had received a “forever diagnosis.”

However, she didn’t specify her exact illness. She told her 1.4 million TikTok followers that she was once “very athletic” but was now “not healthy and in good shape.” Taylor revealed she got sick after she and Cameron married in August 2023. However, she remained hopeful that all would be well. Unfortunately, she lost the battle. May her soul rest in peace.
