19-year-old actress, Mamie Laverock, who appeared in multiple TV shows such as the Hallmark TV show “When Calls the Heart” and also appeared in a limited TV Series “A Series of Unfortunate Events” is currently on life support and fighting for her life after a terrifying incident that occurred on Sunday, May 26th.
Her parents – Rob and Nicole – created a GoFundMe account in which they released to the public details of their daughter and the devastating incident. Laverock has also received a tremendous amount of love, support, and prayers from family, fans, friends, co-workers, and from the Hallmark Channel.
Mamie Laverock and Her Devastating Fall
According to reports, Mamie Laverock, was immediately rushed to the hospital on Saturday, May 11th for an unspecified medical emergency in Winnipeg by her mother. Laverock’s mother, Nicole, stated “we arrived to the hospital in time to save her life”. Laverock was then transferred to a hospital in Vancouver.
Nicole also shared “she was showing signs of improvement” after arriving for the unspecified medical emergency.
Laverock spent two weeks in intensive care before the tragic event occurred. On Sunday, May 26th, Laverock was then escorted out of a secure unit within the hospital and taken to a balcony walkway where she fell five stories.
According to Laverock’s parents, as a result from the fall, she sustained life-threating injuries, undergone many extensive surgeries, and she’s currently fighting for her life while on life support. She is enduring a tremendous amount of pain, but she refuses to give up.
“We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time” stated the family on the GoFundMe fundraiser page.

Support for Mamie Laverock
Mamie Laverock’s family created a GoFundMe to help them with transportation to be with Laverock during this difficult time. As of June 2nd, the family has raised $35, 626 with over 500 people donating.
Laverock has also received a massive outpour of love and support from so many people, especially Hallmark Channel’s lead star in “When Calls the Heart” – Erin Krakow – who encouraged all of their fans to donate and support Laverock via Instagram.
Another Hallmark Channel star in “When Calls the Heart” – Johannah Newmarch – who plays the role of the mother in the TV show, also showed support for Laverock by sharing the link to the GoFundMe fundraiser’s page via Instagram.
As a mother myself, I can’t imagine how difficult it is for Mamie Laverock’s parents during this difficult and trying time. Us parents do all we can to protect our children, no matter how old they get.
