A Life Well-Lived: Kathryn Crosby, Legendary Actress and Bing Crosby’s Widow, Dies at 90

Every day that passes, it seems like so does another iconic legend in the world of Hollywood. Kathryn Crosby was an actor, singer, mother, and widow to the famous Oscar-winning actor Bing Crosby. The Crosby Family

Kathryn Crosby originally married Bing in 1957, when she was 23 years old and he was 54. The couple met while Kathryn Crosby was doing interviews for a column she wrote about in her hometown newspaper. After Kathryn and Bing had become married, Kathryn pivoted her career and focused mostly on family and becoming a nurse, which she succeeded in doing in 1963. Later on, in the 1970s, she would go on to host a talk show on KPIX-TV. Once she was married to Bing, Kathryn halted her acting career; however, she would make appearances in Bing’s Christmas special along with their children. Kathryn would also make frequent appearances in Minute Maid commercials.

Kathryn Crosby passed away at the age of 90 in her Northern California Hillsborough home.
