The Couple Met Because of Jana Duggar
Jason and Maddie Duggar share their story of meeting like it’s sweet. As the story goes, the young man was trying to convince his old-maid of a sister that she could find a man. Ms. Jana was 33 at the time, which is roughly 150 years old when considering the typical marriage age of the young ladies of the family. While demonstrating that she didn’t have to die single, Duggar was digging around Instagram and saw a girl he thought was cute and slid in those DM’s. Downright shocking behavior for a Duggar!
He must have seen young Ms. Maddie’s servant heart through a few Instagram photos. He could see her love for her deity shine bright in her reels. It just so happens to be that thew new Mrs. Duggar was also downright beautiful. We aren’t sure how old the new bride is. But she did graduate high school two years ago. Perfect Duggar timing.
The timeline of the relationship between the new couple was as shockingly short as most of his siblings. Jason Duggar met the young lady on Instagram in December of 2023, went public in May of 2024, got engaged in August of 2024, and married on October 3rd, 2024. Don’t worry though, 10 months is plenty of time when you meet your ‘best friend’ on Instagram.
Maddie and Jason Duggar’s Wedding
The young couple tied the knot on October 3rd, 2024, at the Estate of Sweetwater Creek in the bride’s home state of Tennessee. 300 people attended the wedding, with eight of Jason Duggar’s siblings in the wedding party. There was a unique ‘ring warming’ ceremony where the wedding guests prayed over the rings.
Jason Duggar opted for a tan suit that he pulled off well. His groomsmen outfits were from Macy’s. The new Mrs. Duggar had beautiful flowing locks with one loose braid that beautifully framed her face. She was absolutely radiant, but it was not because of her dress. She did have a shockingly low back, which would definitely be an ‘eye trap’ in traditional Duggar lore. Ms. Maddie walked down the aisle to ‘Turning Page’ by Sleeping at Last.
The couple finished off the evening with a reception that featured Italian food. Instead of the traditional cake, they opted for cheesecake and ice cream. That sounds so much more delicious. The menu was a prelude for the couple’s honeymoon that will be in Italy. The perfect destination for the young couple!
Duggar Son In Trouble
Jason Duggar has been in the headlines recently for something slightly less positive than a wedding. His company, Madison Holding, LLC, was sued last month. Duggar is a contractor by trade, and his company is being sued for a home he allegedly didn’t fix as promised. The 12th (out of 19) Duggar child publicly said that he is a licensed contractor, but according to the lawsuit, he is not.
Also in the suit is the allegation that Madison Holding, LLC, didn’t fix all of the 22 items they allegedly were going to repair in the home in the month they had been allocated. Several months into the project, Jason Duggar allegedly stopped contacting the home owner back. Nearly a year later, there are allegedly items that still need to be fixed, hence the lawsuit. Nothing like a marriage to clean up a Duggar man’s act, right?
