Gordon Ramsay bike and chef extraordinaire, was in a serious accident recently. Ramsay didn’t share any specific details about the incident, which left us to ponder. A disgruntled restaurant owner that was featured on Kitchen Nightmares, maybe? You don’t talk about the family recipe like that, no matter how gross it is, Ramsay. Although Gordon Ramsay is incapable of making a regular grilled cheese sandwich, he is more adept at wearing a bike helmet, thank goodness.
Gordon Ramsay Bike Accident Victim
All we know about Gordon Ramsay’s bike accident is that it occurred earlier this week in Connecticut. Thankfully, it wasn’t in Massachusetts, or the police would blame Karen Read for this accident too. At 57 years old, Ramsay isn’t exactly a spring chicken, so it was great to see him up and at it in the kitchen again so soon after the bike accident. Many of us were surprised to hear the news, considering he has cycled recreationally for years. He’s no road rookie on a bike.
Ramsay scarred us all with an image of his huge purple, prominent bruise on a large portion of his midsection. If I had to define the shade of color, I might suggest ‘eggplant’ to keep the cooking theme going. He felt it looked more like a potato, but that feels like a much more obscure reference considering how rare a purple potato is. It looked terribly painful, and it’s remarkable that the chef is back cooking so quickly after such a serious incident. Thankfully, Ramsay broke no bones.
Ramsay Shares Father’s Day Message

Ramsay provided a very thoughtful, heartfelt message to other men ahead of the holiday on Sunday, June 16th, on his social media. Besides wishing everyone a happy Father’s Day and telling them to be safe (advice he should take himself), he also had this to say: “Now, I’m lucky to be standing here. I’m in pain. It’s been a brutal week. And I’m sort of getting through it. But, I cannot tell you the importance of wearing a helmet.” A photo of the chef’s helmet that he shared showed significant damage to the back.
In that post, he also won brownie points with every medical professional everywhere by shouting out the staff, nurses, and doctors at the medical facility he went to for care. Ramsay may have a stiff bite when it comes to his reality show persona, but he does know how to woo everyone once the cameras are off. Stay safe, Gordon Ramsay!
