Chad Mcqueen was born on December 28th, 1960, in Los Angeles, California, and died on September 11th, 2024. McQueen married twice, the first time being with Stacia Toten. The couple had one son together, Steven R. McQueen, who also became an actor, most known for The Vampire Diaries. McQueen later married Jeanie Galbraith in 1993. McQueen and Galbraith had two children, Chase and Madison McQueen.
Chad McQueen made his Hollywood debut in 1984 when he was cast as Dutch, the main antagonist to Ralph Macchio’s character, in the beloved film The Karate Kid. This once-in-a-lifetime casting shot Chad McQueen to stardom on a trajectory like no other. Chad went on to appear in a sequel to The Karate Kid, along with other films like Firepower in 1993. As Steve McQueen was very similar in the way he lived his life, his son followed down the same path.
Steve McQueen was famous in the 1960s for his action films like The Sand Pebbles, The Magnificent Seven, and The Great Escape; his characters and performances earned him the nickname “The King of Cool.” In 1974, Steve McQueen was the highest-paid actor in Hollywood. He had another passion, racing, which also bled into his son’s life. This passion bled into his son’s life, for Chad eventually left acting to focus on pursuing racing full-time as he was simply not having fun acting anymore.
