Former American Idol contestant, Caleb Kennedy, pleaded guilty to his involvement in a fatal car crash. The incident occurred in South Carolina in 2022 and resulted in the tragic death of Larry Duane Parris, who was 54 years old. By pleading guilty, Kennedy admitted he committed the felony charge of driving under the influence, causing Parris’ death.
Guity Conviction
Initially, the 20-year-old faced a 25-year sentence and a fine of $25,100. However, his sentence was later lowered to eight years in prison and a fine of 15,100. Additionally, Kennedy was given probation of five years, involuntary and random drug tests, and mandatory mental health counseling. What’s more? Three years of his prison sentence will be served under home detention.
