Tate Brothers’ Newest Arrest: Nearly 60 Criminal Charges Levied Against Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate
Brothers Tristan and Andrew Tate were officially arrested in Miami, Florida, with the Crown Prosecution Service initiating prosecution in the UK of the brothers with multiple criminal charges. On July 18, 2026, the brothers were arrested by the United States Marshals Service amid authorities in Britain requesting they be extradited on rape and sex trafficking charges. The British prosecutors say the charges against the brothers relate to events between 2010 and 2017.
Tate Brothers: Under Arrest Again
Reporting from the Associated Press indicates that the brothers are not new to being arrested, having been charged in 2022 for schemes of luring women for sexual exploitation in Romania. The criminal prosecution in Romania failed to move forward due to procedural and legal issues. The brothers were allowed to leave Romania in 2025, taking a private jet headed for Florida.
According to the Associated Press, a source close to the situation revealed that the brothers would likely appear in federal court in Miami this week. The brothers are being accused of abuse against women around the area of London where they grew up. However, the Tates’ lawyer, Joseph McBride, says the charges are false, an attempt to curtail the movement of defamation lawsuits the brothers filed in the United States.
The Associated Press reported on statements by the Crown Prosecution Service, which said they are adding charges in conjunction with those announced in 2025. The original case involved crimes against three women, with the new filing including four new women, adding 38 new charges in July 2026. According to the authorities in the United Kingdom, both are accused of human trafficking and rape.
The older brother, Andrew, is facing additional criminal offenses with 19 charges specifically for inappropriate child images and extreme pornography.
Document Reveals: The Majority of Complaints
Reporting from CNN covered unsealed court documents that were newly released, sharing details about the charges against the brothers regarding rape and sex trafficking. Women reportedly went to British officials making complaints against the brothers, detailing physical and sexual abuse. The women allege they were choked, at times until passing out, then raped. The brothers, along with their attorney, refuted the claims on Monday, saying they intend to fight the extradition request.
The Tates already faced charges of rape and human trafficking against them from Britain filed in 2025. According to CNN, British authorities say the addition of allegations from four new women brings the total number of charges to 59 criminal offenses. Prosecutors detailed claims in a newly unsealed complaint, laying out allegations against Andrew Tate reported by two victims to British authorities.
One of the victims, whose profession was via webcam, said she was choked and ended up losing consciousness, resulting in rape in Bedford, England, in 2015. The other victim detailed in the complaint claimed to have consensual intimate relations with Andrew Tate after meeting on an app in 2014; however, in a separate instance, he visited her in Manchester, England, where she said during sex she had been pinned, choked, and feared for her life.
CNN reported that he also has seven other counts of rape alongside three counts of sex trafficking, with three claims of assault and 19 other charges of inappropriate child images and extreme pornography, for a total of 42 criminal charges according to the Crown Prosecution Service.
The Younger Tate
Based on CNN’s report, the complaint says that Tristan Tate had 6 new criminal charges: two counts of rape, one for sexual assault, and three criminal acts of arranging, paying for, or assisting transit with the intent to force them into sex work, or some other form of human trafficking. The total number of charges brought against the younger Tate brother is now 17, similar to his brother’s for rape, sexual assault, and trafficking.
Prosecutors stated that British investigators obtained witness testimony, digital messages, and photos that support the allegations. The brothers have denied the allegations, and this story is currently ongoing.
