Capricorn’s biggest story this week is a planet changing direction in the sign’s own money house. Pluto stations direct in Aquarius on Oct. 15 at 10:24 p.m. ET, landing in Capricorn’s second house of money, possessions and self-worth, according to Astronomy Engine planetary position data. That shift, paired with the Sun moving through Capricorn’s 10th house of career and reputation, makes this a week where finances and public standing both demand attention.
Venus remains retrograde in Scorpio all week, sitting in Capricorn’s 11th house of friends, groups and hopes for the future. Mercury travels the same territory direct, so conversations with your circle move faster than your feelings about them do.
The Week At A Glance
- Oct. 12 to Oct. 18: Sun in Libra lights up Capricorn’s 10th house of career and public life
- All week: Moon moves through Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn and Aquarius, touching rest, home and money themes in turn
- All week: Mercury in Scorpio and Venus (retrograde) in Scorpio both sit in the 11th house of friends and future hopes
- Oct. 15, 10:24 p.m. ET: Pluto stations direct in Aquarius, Capricorn’s 2nd house of money and self-worth
- All week: Mars and Jupiter both occupy Leo, Capricorn’s 8th house of shared resources and transformation
Saturn, Capricorn’s own ruling planet, stays retrograde in Aries in the fourth house of home and family, a placement that has colored much of October’s broader astrology for every sign.
Love
Venus retrograde in Scorpio keeps working through Capricorn’s 11th house this week, a placement that favors friendships and group connections over grand romantic gestures. With Mercury also in Scorpio’s 11th house, talk among friends flows easily even while Venus retrograde asks Capricorn to revisit old feelings before acting on new ones.
The aspect list for the week includes Venus square Mars and Venus square Pluto, both tension points that can surface friction between what Capricorn wants and what others expect. Career And Money
The Sun in Libra continues to spotlight Capricorn’s 10th house of career and reputation through the week, keeping professional image and public-facing work in focus. That backdrop makes Pluto’s direct station on Oct. 15 land with extra weight, since it falls in the second house that governs money, possessions and self-worth.
Mars and Jupiter both sit in Leo this week, activating Capricorn’s eighth house of shared resources and transformation. That combination points to joint finances, debts, investments or other people’s money playing a larger role than usual in how Capricorn’s week unfolds.
Wellbeing
Uranus remains retrograde in Gemini, sitting in Capricorn’s sixth house of daily work, health routines and service. A retrograde in this house tends to bring unexpected disruptions to established routines rather than sudden health scares, so flexibility around schedules may serve Capricorn better than rigid plans this week.
Neptune, also retrograde, continues its transit of Aries in the fourth house of home and family alongside Saturn, adding a reflective undertone to domestic matters through the week.
Best Day Of The Week
Oct. 15 stands out as the week’s most significant day, with Pluto stationing direct in Aquarius at 10:24 p.m. ET in Capricorn’s second house of money and self-worth. A planet turning direct, as NASA’s overview of the solar system’s planets notes in describing how outer planets appear to pause and reverse from Earth’s vantage point, often marks a release of pressure that had built during the retrograde period. For Capricorn, that could translate into clearer footing around finances or self-value after a stretch of slower movement on those fronts.
