Brad Pitt has been faced with a scary situation: his Los Angeles home was broken into. Luckily, he wasn’t home at the time; however, the thieves broke into the home and completely ransacked the place. Brad Pitt is just another victim of celebrity homes being broken into and robbed. There are still many details that have yet to emerge as investigators are still looking into the break-in.
Brad Pitt’s Home Was Ransacked
According to NBC News, Brad Pitt’s Los Angeles home was broken into at 10:30 p.m. PST on Wednesday, June 25. The house, located in the 2300 block of North Edgemont Street, had no one in the house at the time of the break-in.
After responding to the reports of an alarm call, investigators then discovered that three suspects had climbed the front fence of the property. Once they got over the fence, the three burglars cased the exterior of the home. They then broke a window in the living room, which allowed them to get into the house.
Once the three burglars made their way into the house, they completely ransacked the home, going through pretty much everything in the house. The amount of Brad Pitt’s personal belongings that were stolen is still unknown; therefore, the amount of money the burglars got away with is still unknown at this time.
A Connected Robbery?
Recently, there’s been a string of robberies that have targeted the homes of celebrities, and Brad Pitt is the latest one. While there’s still not a lot of information known about the break-in at Brad Pitt’s home, it’s unclear if this robbery is connected to the others or if they are all connected at all.
Early this year, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s Los Angeles home was broken into, along with the home of Los Angeles Football Club player Oliver Giroud. It was reported that thieves stole over $500,000 worth of jewelry from Oliver Giroud’s home.
Four masked intruders were also chased off Tyler Perry’s property back in December, as security spotted them before they could do any damage. They left behind a backpack that was full of tools, gloves, and a cell phone.
There was also another failed burglary at Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s Los Angeles home. Similar to Brad Pitt’s home, the thieves smashed a window; however, they triggered the house alarm, and they never made it into the house.
Whether or not all of these robberies are connected, investigators are still unsure.
