Luckily, the YouTube show DEATH BATTLE! has answered that question.

DEATH BATTLE! pits two fictional characters against each other in deadly combat, hence the name. The scientific-minded Wiz and Boomstick, the weapon enthusiast, host the show. They’re the classic comedic odd couple, except they grant insight and entertainment. They analyze the contestants’ powers and weaponry and discover who’d win. After that, the chosen combatants engage in a massive animated battle.
There have been countless match-ups, the first being Boba Fett against Samus Aran. From there, other epic fights between iconic characters from various franchises have occurred. Such episodes include Godzilla VS Gamera, He-Man VS Lion-O, and Master Chief VS Doomguy. Some non-serious joke fights like Chuck Norris Vs Segata Sanshiro also exist. There are also segments dedicated to answering who’s stronger between Goku and Superman. However, the most recent installment features the epic showdown between villains Bowser and Dr. Eggman.
Bowser, King of the Koopas
Every gamer knows the infamous Bowser, the undisputed ruler of the Koopa Clan. He invaded the Mushroom Kingdom and kidnapped its beloved ruler, Princess Peach. The tyrannical turtle would agree to release her only if she’d marry him. Luckily, the Super Mario Brothers, Mario and Luigi, arrived to rescue her. The king refused to give up and tried again to take over the Mushroom Kingdom. And if he failed, he’d come back again and again, stronger than before.
Bowser is also one of the seven Star Children alongside Mario, Luigi, and Peach. He wields incredible power, like his signature fire breath and highly durable shell. He’s known to survive black holes and reanimate himself as a skeleton. This fiendish ruler even dabbles in dark magic, able to warp reality. The Koopa King also commands a legion of thousands known as the Koopa Troop. With such power under his command, it’s no wonder he constantly returns to kidnap Peach.
The Genius Mind of Dr. Eggman
Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik desired to become a scientist like his revered altruistic grandfather. But instead of helping others, he chose to conquer Earth. He eventually constructed an army of deadly robots to assist him in his goal. The mad scientist also learned of the seven Chaos Emeralds and sought to acquire them. Eggman and his machines were, unfortunately, defeated by Sonic the Hedgehog. Nevertheless, the egg-bellied scientist returned to the drawing board and prepared for his next attempt.
While lacking in athleticism, Dr. Eggman makes up for it with brain power. He’s constructed devastating devices designed to wipe out his opposition. These gadgets include his legions called the Badniks and Metal Sonic, his arch-enemy’s robotic double. He’s even built war machines, which he can pilot using his signature Egg Mobile. Everything he has made came together to form the mighty Eggman Empire. Nothing will stop this hardboiled genius from taking his rightfully as ruler of the world.
A War Between Two Great Evils
The high-stakes battle opens with Bowser finally marrying Princess Peach with his army in attendance. It turns out to be a trap devised by Dr. Eggman and his robots. The mad doctor arrogantly announces his intention to conquer the Koopa Kingdom. Naturally, the turtle king is not impressed, but that doesn’t stop the mad scientist. He shows up with the Eggman Empire and prepares for the eventual warfare. The Koopa King and his forces assemble, and the large-scale death battle begins.
There is intense action as the villainous armies tear each other apart. The tide changes when Eggman incinerates Bowser to the bone, seemingly giving him the win. This outcome changes when the Koopa King revives as a skeleton ready to fight. The hardboiled madman tries to escape, but his foe sends him flying with a punch. He soars into a planet-sized item box that explodes like a supernova. Bowser and the Koopa Troop celebrate their victory as golden coins rain from the sky.
All Hail to the Koopa King
After the insane showdown, Wiz and Boomstick analyzed the factors behind Bowser’s superb victory. They used a system of five prominent factors: strength, powers, intelligence, trump cards, and army. The Koopa King was physically stacked, had better powers, and his army was more versatile. His trump cards could easily match the scientist’s, so that category was a tie. This analysis meant Eggman only excelled in intelligence for being a mechanical genius. Despite this, the egg-bellied scientist held his own very nicely.
An Age-Old Battle Between Powers
You could argue this battle between villains is also a match of science against magic. This conflict appears in many forms of media where the two powers exist. Typically, they’re opposites that can outdo each other in almost every situation. Magic can do everything science can, but better, while science can undo magic. But in this death battle, the magical side was the clear winner.
Bowser’s wizard Kamek and his son Bowser Jr. used their magic to turn the tide. Kamek summoned pipes to form a wall, and the young Koopa transformed a high-tech base. Even the king utilized his dark magic to protect his foot soldiers. While impressive, Eggman’s Badniks are still machines restricted to their built-in limitations. Metal Sonic can become more powerful, but even he is no match for the king.
Final Thoughts
DEATH BATTLE! is a mind-blowing show that everyone should find the time to watch. It has only gotten better with every season and showdown that has passed. This battle between Bowser and Dr. Eggman is easily the best so far. The action was nail-biting, the statistics were intriguing, and the animation was beautiful. Unfortunately, there’s no release date for the next episode, but it’s sure to be entertaining. Viewers will witness a video game fight against Among Us and Fall Guys.
