Big Reunion: Spice Girls To Come Together for 30th Anniversary World Tour

Spice Girls

The Spice Girls cue music: “Tell me what you want, what you really really want!” Do we want it? Yes! Seeing how there is a resurgence of 90s bands, and the renewed interest in books, movies, and most definitely music from that time, it would follow that a Spice Girls reunion could be on the… spice rack. Okay, bad pun, but are the Spice Girls ready to cook? A few developments have happened fairly recently, so we’ll see what we can figure out.

Spice Girls Come Together for Beckham’s Birthday

Last year, Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) had a big party for her 50th birthday. All five Spice Girls were able to attend and perform their song, “Stop.” The party gathering sparked rumors of a possible reunion, and there’s hope that the Girls might embark on a 30th anniversary tour.

Dishing on What the Spice Girls are Up To

After much success in the 90s and early 2000s, they all went their own way. Geri Halliwell-Horner (Ginger Spice), citing creative differences, left first. The remaining four Spice Girls went on to do some more recording. However soon afterwards, promotional activities for the Spice Girls ceased, thus putting them on an indefinite hiatus.

Besides Victoria Adams marrying David Beckham, and starting a design company, Melanie Brown, a.k.a. Mel B, or Scary Spice, was one of the better known Spice Girls. Mel B went onto to do some acting and then was a judge on several talent shows, including America’s Got Talent.

Melanie C, or Melanie Chisholm, (Sporty Spice), continues to sing and act. She’s had a successful singing career and has helped with many charitable causes. Emma Bunton, or Baby Spice, went on to have a solo singing career, tried her hand at acting, and has had several radio shows. Emma also launched a children’s clothing line. Geri Halliwell-Horner, who was first to break from the Spice Girls in 2000, continues to sing, act, and has written children’s books.

Reunion for the Big 30th?

The girl band have gotten back together several times throughout the years. The first was 2007 through 2008 where they embarked on tour. In 2019 they were reunited once again but without Victoria Beckham. However, with everybody’s schedules, it has been quite difficult to pin down times.

Regarding a potential reunion and the upcoming 30th anniversary of their hit single “Wannabe,” it would seem like this is an ideal time to plan. It appears as though all the Girls are on board; it’s just a matter of when they can take some leave from there independent projects. Whether it’s in 2025 or 2026, we hope to see the correct recipe for the Spice Girls to return.
