Today’s Tarot reading was done with the Thoth Deck illustrations designed by Aleister Crowley and painted by Lady Frieda Harris. True to Thoth, today’s reading speaks of truth and intelligence and the repercussions of evasion and inactivity. Used for generations, Tarot cards have been delivering answers and insight into the inner world of the mind and life’s challenges. This reading is not meant for everyone; if you feel like it does not apply to you, come back tomorrow for another Tarot Reading.
Death (Reversed)
The first card of today’s reading reveals that there is a slow change or reevaluation needed based on what has happened in your past. Either you have just undertaken a transformation or it is an option you have been weighing for some time. You may be feeling resistance to this change or procrastination, but will only keep you stagnant and hold you back from opportunities in the present.
Five of Swords (Reversed)
Based on this reading so far, you have taken hits and they seem to keep coming. As the second card, your present shows you feel lacking in strength or mental fortitude with your current conflicts. Fear of defeat or lack of gains has sapped you of self-worth or self-confidence. Let your morals be your guide and don’t let yourself be persuaded to do something you don’t agree with or regret in the future.
Two of Cups (Reversed)
The third card represents your future and advises you to watch yourself and your loved one. Miscommunication or lack of appreciation may cost your relationship if you keep up your selfish ways. Show them you appreciate all of the hard work they have been putting forth, and use their love language to communicate you acknowledge and are grateful for them. Communication is key when keeping things open and honest, especially in difficult times.
Rune of the Day
The rune Isa translates to ice, and represents intuition and unwavering truth. It may cut and seem cold, but it is pure and delicate. It takes courage and unyielding strength to say the truth and protect yourself from harsh criticism. On the other hand, ice can be a hard barrier if left for too long in the dark; stagnant, and inactive. Don’t be evasive with the truth, or it will leave you frostbitten.
Yoga Pose of the Day
The pose Revolved Low Lunge is a moderately hard pose and will include a variation technique to make it less intense. Stand forward, feet hip-width apart, and bring your palms together in front of your sternum (between your breasts). Choose the leg you feel most comfortable stepping forward on and put most of your weight on the forward foot. Bend the forward knee to a 90-degree angle, aligning your knee over your foot, and lift the heel of your other foot as you lower yourself into the lunge position.
Straighten your rear leg and slowly twist your torso, hooking your elbow outside your knee. Keep your palms together and deepen the twist. If you can, keep your head facing forward. You may find lowering the rear knee will lessen the intensity of this pose. Hold for a few breaths and then switch sides.
