Best Careers for Water Signs | May 3rd, 2024

Careers are a huge part of our lives. How can your water sign help you choose the best career for you? Often, what we liked when we were young no longer interests us, or the career we chose has changed so much that it’s just not the same or no longer meets our needs.

People, on average, hold 12 jobs in their lifetime, and if you’re between the ages of 25 and 44, there’s a 32% chance that you are going to at least think about a new career. Needs change, dreams change, and situations change, so careers also need to change.

Having a career is not just about having a job to earn money for the things you need. It’s more about having a fulfilling career that heeds your talents and passions and supports you and your lifestyle the way you need it to. It’s about wanting to get up at least most days and being happy about what you do.

If these needs are unmet, you will eventually look for something else that will make you happy. If this does happen, and it happens, as noted above, to about 32% of us, what kinds of things do you need to think about to make this life-changing decision?

Career Choices as a Water Sign

WaterDrop

Our signs and birth charts can give us a lot of information about who we are and who we are meant to be. Each element—fire, water, earth, and air—has its own personality traits, and to make us even more unique, each sign with each element also has its own personality traits. This information, along with the locations of the planets in our birth charts, tells us about who we are.

As a water sign, we-yes, I am a Scorpio, are intuitive, emotional, and are more likely to follow our heart than other signs. We know what will work for us and that is the direction we go.

We often wear our hearts on our sleeves and can be influenced by the moods of others so we do need to pick with whom and where we spend our time carefully. We are more likely than the other signs to take on the moods or attitudes of those around us.  A hostile or depressive work environment is not conducive to a happy life for a water sign.

Water signs are also uniquely creative. Emotion needs a creative outlet, and water signs are some of the most artistically creative people among us. They need a creative outlet to both direct and showcase that emotional expression.

Careers for Cancers

If you are a Cancer, then you are more likely the caretaker in your circle of friends and family. You know what others need, sometimes before they do. You feel at your best and are happiest if you know everyone else is happy and comfortable. You know that how people are treated is what they are going to remember, and you make sure that everyone remembers how caring you are.

The Moon, which rules over our emotions, empathy, and compassion, rules over Cancer. It makes sense that you need to care for others to feel fulfilled. However, sometimes, that caring takes its toll on you. When feeling overwhelmed, you need to recharge. Cancers like their quiet time alone. Retreating into their comfortable place is not unusual and is necessary.

To stand out in your chosen career, you will need to work on control and strength in overcoming these times of needed seclusion. You will have to step out of your comfort zone and put yourself openly in the view of others to be recognized and rewarded. There is no hiding out if you want to do well.

With all that being said, you will find your best career in services. Your serene nature automatically puts everyone around you at ease. You can sense the moods of others and gauge what they need, enabling you to make everyone feel at peace and happy. However, watch your own mood because you don’t want to take on other’s attitudes or negative moods.

So, for Cancer, some of the best careers might be in nursing, therapy, counseling, or social work. As we saw, you have a gift of intuitively knowing the needs of others, enabling you to care for people in a very special way. Being a nanny or a teacher could also be a good fit.

If you were wanting to go a different direction, what about a realtor or architect? Or maybe an interior designer. In these roles, you would be able to use your intuitive nature and creative expression in a different way to meet people’s needs. Think about the artistic expression that could go into designing a home or building or helping someone find the perfect home for their family.

And last but definitely not least, what about being a chef? Did you know that some of the world’s most prized chefs are cancers? Wolfgang Puck, Anthony Bourdain, and Andrew Zimmern, to name a few.

Careers for Scorpios

We’ve all known a Scorpio. They can be mysterious but want to know everything about everything. They are the ones who always have to dig deeper, and there’s nothing shallow here. One of the best descriptions I have heard of a Scorpio is intense.

Ruled by Pluto, they also want to know what makes you tick. Why you do what you do, make the choices you make, believe the things they believe. Pluto is all about learning more, finding out why, and just making Scoprios even more amazing, throwing a relentless ambition into the mix as well.

What Scorpios has that other water signs do not is the ability to know what it wants, the ambition, and how to go after it. Scorpio exudes confidence, or could it be arrogance? Not sure? This is something Scorpios to check. Sometimes, confidence is seen as arrogance, which isn’t good for anyone.

And here is where part of the mystery comes in. Scorpios can handle pressure and stress without ever letting on that there is a problem. Their ability to stay cool is definitely their superpower. They can handle a situation, put a smile on, stay professional, and move forward, and no one is the wiser.

So, we, again, yes, I am a Scorpio, can hide our feelings, move forward under immense pressure with a smile on our faces, reach our goals, and get things done. And while all of this is happening, we are charming, making friends, and getting people to trust us because we are also loyal and trustworthy. This is definitely a benefit to any career.

So, what would be the perfect career for a Scorpio? Anything where they do research, investigations, or need to learn more. So, a researcher, maybe a detective or investigator. Maybe a chemist or an Auditor.

Scorpios also work well with numbers and analyzing things, like investigations, skills that are right up their alley. Auditors or tax consultants can also fall into this category, but so can a surgeon, medical examiner, or psychologist. This would allow them to work with other people but also work independently.

Scorpios will do well in anything where they can play detective or spend their time analyzing, well, anything. Chemist, research scientist, and maybe even forensic science would be a good fit.

Careers for Pisces

Oh, Pisces with their heads in the clouds and their feet set firmly in mystical worlds and fantasy realms. Their dreamy personalities excel in the arts – dancing, painting, singing, drawing, creating anything within any preferred medium. They are ambitious and driven but also a healer with a natural ability to help anyone around who needs it.

Ruled by Neptune, Pisces is also compassionate and imaginative, playing right into their creative nature.

While Scorpio’s superpower is control, Pisces’s is their intuition, which borders on psychic ability. because of your ability to see what is happening around you while others can’t. Because of this, you are able to pick up on unique opportunities that no one else sees.

Pisces will struggle if things do not go their way. While you have the creativity, the passion, and your superpower (intuition) to reach your goals, you will need to check your confidence and believe in yourself to go all the way to success. Step out of your comfort zone, make some waves, take some risks, and just do it. You’ve got this!

So, I know you want to know. What is the perfect career for our lovely Pisces? You could put your creativity into creative arts like painting, drawing, film, or photography. What about journalism or writing? Music!

Your healing abilities would be perfect for work in the healing, therapeutic, or medical industry, doing something to help people. A counselor could be an appealing choice. Charity or non-profit work could also be a great fit. What about environmental sciences, working with animals and marine life?

Conclusion

We know that water signs are compassionate, caring, and ambitious, though they tend to go about their drive in different ways. From being an intuitive Pisces or Cancer who sees the things others miss to being a driven, curious Scorpio asking all the right questions, any of these three signs would be a great fit for many amazing careers in our ever-changing market.

You all just need to step up, take hold, and get it done. Like I told Pisces, You’ve got this. Go get ’em.
