Sowilo represents the wheel; everything can be achieved if you put the effort and concentration into your goal. Focus your attention with charisma and put your energy into everything you do; you will be rewarded for your efforts. The shape of the rune represents lightning, the combination of effort and energy.
Pose of the Day
Starting your day with yoga can help set your intentions and focus your energy on a solution to a challenge you are facing. Today’s card reveals that you should try the Eagle. If you are new to yoga, the Eagle can be fairly difficult since you need balance and leg strength to hold this position. From the Mountain pose, bend your knees slightly; for balance, stare at a fixed point in front of you at eye level, lift your leg, and cross your thigh over your other thigh. Choose which leg you are most comfortable keeping your weight on for your first try. Wrap your shin behind the supporting calf, while keeping your supporting knee bent.
Now bring your arms forward and use the same side you used for your legs to help maintain balance for this second half of the pose. Wrap your arms and bend at the elbows so your palms face each other and keep your wrists face up, or vertical, to the floor. Squeeze your thighs and arms together tightly; the tighter you can make your body, the more balance you will gain.
