The Moon starts the day in Sagittarius before shifting into Capricorn at 8:56 a.m. ET, settling into your 12th house of rest, reflection and endings. That makes the Aquarius Horoscope Oct 16 outlook one about slowing down even as your career sector stays busy, with Mercury at 17 degrees Scorpio and retrograde Venus at 5 degrees Scorpio both lighting up your 10th house of career, reputation and public life.
The Moon is in its First Quarter phase at 32% illumination today, a point in the cycle associated with decision and friction, according to NASA’s guide to moon phases. For Aquarius, that tension shows up between the pull to retreat and the pressure to perform professionally.
Love And Relationships
Mars sits at 10 degrees Leo and Jupiter at 22 degrees Leo, both occupying your 7th house of partnerships and close one-on-one relationships. That combination favors direct conversations with a partner or close collaborator rather than leaving things unsaid. Jupiter’s placement there also suggests room for growth in an existing bond, though the effort has to come from both sides.
Single Aquarius natives may find that a one-on-one setting, rather than a group one, brings more clarity today. The sky favors depth over breadth in connection right now.
Career And Money
With Mercury and a retrograde Venus both in Scorpio and your 10th house, career and reputation matters stay front and center. Mercury governs communication, so professional conversations, emails and negotiations carry extra weight. Venus retrograde in the same house can mean revisiting an old professional relationship, a past request for recognition, or unfinished business tied to how others see your work.
Patience matters here. Retrograde Venus favors reviewing and reconsidering over launching something new in your public life. If a raise, title or recognition conversation feels unresolved, today may be better for listening than pushing.
Health And Wellbeing
The Moon’s move into Capricorn and your 12th house points toward rest as the theme of the day. This house governs the hidden, the restorative and the unfinished, so quiet time alone or a slower pace can help more than a packed schedule. Consider this general self-care guidance only, not medical advice, and talk to a doctor or other health professional about any specific health concern.
Saturn, retrograde at 10 degrees Aries, and Neptune, retrograde at 2 degrees Aries, both sit in your 3rd house of communication, siblings and short trips. That pairing can slow down messages or travel plans, so building in extra time for calls, texts or errands may ease frustration.
Aquarius Tip For Friday
With Pluto now direct at 3 degrees in your own sign, your 1st house of self and identity carries extra weight this week. Use today’s quieter Capricorn Moon to reflect on how you want to be seen, both personally and professionally, before diving back into Scorpio-ruled career talk tomorrow.
