The Apostle of Impossible: Saint Jude Thaddeus by Father Carlos Martin is a book everyone should read. The Apostle of Impossible: Saint Jude Thaddeus also contains prayers and a novena (9 daily prayers) to Saint Jude. Everyone should read this book because we all face challenges in our lives, and we could all use some inspiration. This book offers some. Apostle of Impossible is part biography and says that Saint Jude was charged with spreading the Gospel to Mesopotamia and was clubbed to death for his troubles. Why did early church fathers meet with such violent ends?
Summary of The Apostle of Impossible
The book, The Apostle of Impossible: Saint Jude Thaddeus, is part biography, part something more. The Apostle of the Impossible has three brief chapters on the life and death of Saint Jude Thaddeus. These chapters are interesting. There are some bonuses next. Saint Jude Thaddeus wrote a brief epistle for the New Testament, so you can read it.
Then there are four chapters in The Apostle of Impossible: Saint Jude Thaddeus that discuss the iconography and relics of Saint June. Of note, there is an entire chapter on the 2023-2024 pilgrimage of his relics. There was a special plenary indulgence granted to those who venerate the relics. A Catholic who gains a plenary indulgence gains a clean slate of sin, which would result in a short stay in purgatory.
The Apostle of Impossible: Saint Jude Thaddeus ends with some prayers to Saint Thaddeus, Apostle of the Impossible. First is a prayer to him. This is important because we all face challenges. There exists a litany to Saint Jude. It is four pages long. There is a novena to Saint Jude, Apostle of the Impossible, which is listed here for you.
Novena to Saint Jude Thaddeus
This is the prayer for hopeless causes to the Apostle of Impossible. It is long, but it is worth it.
