Season 3 of ‘Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon’ Announced

Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon

Prepare your dungeon maps and stock up on coins: everyone’s favorite vending machine is coming back! After fans endured the trials, monsters, and mishaps of Season 2, the anime adaptation of Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon has officially been renewed for a third season. The announcement dropped immediately following the Season 2 finale, confirming that the bizarre and charming journey of Boxxo and his companion Lammis is far from over. While many concrete details are still under wraps, there’s plenty to look forward to as the saga continues.

It’s Production Time Again!

The renewal for Season 3 was made official right after Season 2’s final episode aired. A new illustration was unveiled alongside the announcement, teasing the continuation of the adventures of Hakkon & Lammis. Although the release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, Season 2 began on July 2, 2025, in Japan, so many expect a similar summer launch window.

For those just getting into the series, Crunchyroll describes the overall story:

The future of this fantasy world now lies in the hands of…a vending machine! Boxxo was once a human, until he died in an accident and was reincarnated as a sentient piece of machinery. While he can still hear and see, there’s no way for him to move by himself or speak more than his programmed phrases. How can he make the most of this strange new life?”

Returning Cast & Staff: Familiar Faces Behind the Machine

The core cast and production team from previous seasons will be returning. Jun Fukuyama continues voicing Boxxo, with Kaede Hondo as Lammis, and other main roles including Miyu Tomita as Shui, Kazuya Nakai as Kerioiru, and Ai Kayano as Firumina.  In terms of direction, Takashi Yamamoto is back at the helm as director, taking over from Noriaki Akitaya, while Naoki Yamauchi returns as character designer and chief animation director.

What’s Next for Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon

What’s left for Boxxo and co.? The original web novel by Hirukuma—on which the anime is based—concludes its story arc, giving the adaptations a roadmap to follow.  Given that the light novel version had a turbulent journey (being canceled and then revised), but the overall story does have an ending in the web novel, Season 3 of Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon may lean into content that hasn’t yet been animated

One burning question remains: will Boxxo ever gain a more “traditional” form, or does the charm lie in his vending machine existence? And how will the stakes escalate now that Season 2 closed certain plot threads? Only time (and coins dropped into the machine’s slots) will tell.

For now, fans can celebrate: the weirdest isekai setup in recent memory is sticking around for more—and that means more laughs, more monsters, more vending machine drama. Stay tuned with Total Apex Entertainment for updates on Season 3’s premiere date, new characters, and how the animated world will continue to adapt or extend the source material!
