The third season of Demon Slayer for the English dub will drop in a week, with Adult Swim recently finishing the rerun of its second season, The Entertainment District Arc. Crunchyroll released the dub of its fourth season in June, the Hashira Training Arc, following up the Swordsmith Village Arc.
On August 10th, Toonami will air the new English dub for The Swordsmith Village Arc, following up with the most recent season that finished this Spring, the Hashira Training Arc. While there are two seasons worthy of catching up regarding the dub, studio Ufotable announced that there will be three movies to conclude the franchise in epic fashion like its first film that shattered theatre records.
These future films have not had their release dates announced, so there should be enough time for it to conclude the dub for season four. It might be a while before we see the beloved Hashiras and Demon Slayers led by Tanjiro Kamado take on Muzan and the rest of the Upper Ranked Demons in the Infinity Castle Arc Trilogy. This grand saga is coming to a close sooner than anime fans think.

According to their account on X and the announcement coming from San Diego’s Comic-Con for 2024, Adult Swim will get the English dub for the Swordsmith Village Arc through Toonami. The popular Shonen anime has its block on Saturday nights August 10th and onward. Its third big arc follows the Entertainment District and Mugen Train arcs after its first hit season.
Episode one for season three is a one-hour premiere at midnight ET. It will move to a 12:30 am ET timeslot after on August 17th. Other animes were announced, like My Hero Academia and Dragon Ball Z Kai, and will join Naruto: Shippuden and One Piece as their consistent programs. Ninja Kamui is also included, announced through Toonami from a post on X.
Toonami Acquires Dub for Summer Lineup
The Adult Swim late-night block gets the third season for the hyped anime with its films, a year later than Crunchyroll. The platform got the rights for the Swordsmith Village Arc season back in April 2023 with its simulcast of the subtitled version. Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming platforms have it available for streaming, making it a huge IP that the big players are splitting.
Its meteoric popularity got Adult Swim to eventually pay up to add the franchise to its program for the summer of 2024. This began with the Mugen Train film last year, which shattered records back in 2020 but is now not too expensive for the midnight program. This is according to Toonami co-creator Jason DeMarco when stating the reasons for the delay of its addition.
Swordsmith Village Arc Joined By Rewind Block
Adult Swim will have the Swordsmith Village Arc, along with big-name anime series like Naruto, One Piece, and Sailor Moon as well. The throwback block could even expand further if it is successful with its implementation by offering the classic anime many are familiar with to rewatch. Its fourth season was released back in May and finished in June with the subtitled version. The eight episodes will get right into the highly anticipated Infinity Castle trilogy films.
Ufotable’s anime had its third season live air back in April to June of 2023, with the 11 episodes to be broadcast this month into the fall season for the English Dub. Following is the arc that just concluded this Spring season, the Hashira Training Arc. A dub will likely follow shortly after the previous season finishes on Adult Swim, maybe before the new season of the wildly successful One Piece live-action with a tentative release date sometime late next year on Netflix.
