Aidan Zingg, 16-Year-Old Rising Motocross Star, Killed In Tragic Racing Accident

The motocross world is mourning a huge loss in their community, up-and-coming star Aidan Zingg. During a competition on June 28, the motocross prodigy tragically passed away in the middle of a race. Family, Friends, motocross fans, and other athletes are mourning his loss and how much of an impact he made on the motocross world at just sixteen years old.

Aidan Zingg, a rising star in the motocross world, tragically died on June 28 mid-race. He was just sixteen years old.

The 2025 Mammoth Motocross event took place in Mammoth Lakes, California, where Zingg was competing. According to DirtbikeLover, a huge industry source, Aidan Zingg “went down in a corner during the race,” where he was “reportedly run over by multiple bikes and remained unconscious on the track for two laps before the race was red flagged.”

As a result, he died from the traumatic injuries he sustained during the crash.

According to NBC Sports, in a show of support, 14 out of the 27 riders who finished the first race, including the winner, did not start the second race.

A Rising Star

Aidan Zingg was a rising star in the motocross world. Recently, he joined Kawasaki’s Team Green program. He also had a number of sponsorships, including Bell, Renthal, and Oakley. He had an exciting career ahead of him, and many described him as both very talented and humble.

Prior to his death, the last post he made on Instagram was a joint post with MotoSport.com on June 18. The caption of the now-eerie post read: “Remember the name… @aidanzingg.”

Aidan Zingg will forever be remembered as the talented and humble motocross star whose life was taken from him way too soon. He accomplished a lot for being just sixteen years old, and his legacy will always be remembered.
