Whether rain or shine, cold or hot, getting a nice glow-up is always something that people of all ages look forward to.
Whether it’s your skin, your body, or just your mental state instead of your physical state, it’s always nice to look and feel healthy and get that glow-up you deserve. But what can you do to improve how you look and have it work? And how can you keep it cheap?
Well, it all depends on you. How much are you willing to spend, how far are you willing to go, and do you have the time to?
Acne: Your Nemesis for Getting a Glow-Up
When it comes to acne, there are many reasons why you might have it.
Many people might have hormonal acne, which is when you go to a dermatologist. But that’s not the only factor for acne.
Some people can be affected just because they eat the wrong thing or are around something that causes their faces to break out.
Something that can be done to fix this is to test types of foods, such as sweets, and see if you break out more or less with them.
Some sweets could affect you more than others, or you have to have a certain amount to break out.
In the end, it’s an annoying process, but the results are worth it if you can find the cause of the problem. It also depends on you. Would you like to buy chemicals for your face, or see if there is an outside solution to help you glow-up and move to the next step?
Skincare
Keeping your skin on your face is a big part of having a glow-up. Not only acne-free, but healthy, young, and wrinkle-free.
Putting on moisturizer just before you go to bed and in the morning is a great way to do that. It keeps your skin feeling soft and hydrates your skin, making your glow-up shine.
A good thing to also do if you go somewhere outside, no matter how short the trip might be, is to put on sunscreen.
This is the best way to prevent wrinkles when you get older. Even if the day is cloudy, the sun shines and can damage your skin.
It’s always better to be safe than sorry.
Tea
Have you ever experienced bloating or an upset stomach when eating or after you ate?
Tea is a good solution for bloating after a heavy meal, it’s also a nice relaxant right before bed.
The tea helps your digestive system by making the process quicker and breaking down any food that you have eaten. It helps with stomach issues too. Such as, if you ate something that upset your stomach, taking tea could help calm it down.
Though not many people like the taste of tea, ginger ale is a good substitute, along with warm milk or a nice fruity juice.
Water is also a good drink to have to help you with your glow-up. Especially in the morning.
Relax
Having time to relax and just get a moment of peace is a big part of wanting a glow-up.
When you get stressed or tired, your body will physically start showing reactions to that and you might feel the worst you have ever been.
Relaxing and taking time is a great way to fix that. Even if it’s just for 10-15 minutes, taking time for yourself to just read a book, do some yoga, write your thoughts, or just lay in bed with calming music, can be the change from doing good to doing great.
If you don’t have time in the day to do that, you can always make time before you go to sleep or have a day dedicated to self-care. Turn off those electrons and just chill and decompress.
I do this, and I do it for thirty minutes. Just sitting down and reading a book before bed has made me feel a lot better and I wasn’t staying up, wide awake, in bed trying to fall asleep.
