On Friday, September 27, The Weeknd officially released his latest single, Timeless, which features Playboi Carti, via XO/Republic Records. Timeless, which was produced by Pharrell, Ojivolta, Mike Dean, and Twisco, is a beautiful mix of The Weeknd’s ethereal melodies and Carti’s signature rap style. The bass-heavy track starts with a melodic verse by Playboi Carti and haunting vocals by The Weeknd in the background. This new song shows how The Weeknd and Carti’s relationship changes and gives fans a new, experimental anthem.
During The Weeknd’s sold-out show in São Paulo, he and Playboi Carti performed to over 17 million people who watched the live-streamed event, which trended in 25 countries globally.
