RealitySteve showed pictures of an affidavit from Strader’s alleged 2017 arrest warrant for one felony count of “simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling” in the video.

Now, resurfaced legal documents reveal troubling details about Strader’s background. According to Variety, Devin Strader’s arrest warrant was accompanied by papers filed on March 19, 2017, by an unnamed ex-girlfriend who said that her house was broken into while she was away and that a diamond necklace gifted to her by Strader was stolen.
She also claimed that Strader had come to her Louisiana home multiple times, pounding on the door and yelling at her, prompting her to file a restraining order against him on March 22, 2017. The burglary arrest affidavit was public record, but the restraining order, including any details, was sealed.
Devin Strader pleaded guilty to criminal trespass and simple criminal damage to property and received a year of unsupervised probation. Strader’s ex-girlfriend made a restraining order after he allegedly came to her house “hitting on the door severally and screaming at her.” The papers went on to detail how Strader reportedly harassed her at her home following the breakup, including one incident in which he was accused of setting fire to the restraining order in the street.

According to the affidavit, Strader’s ex said he “made a fire out in the street with what appeared to be the actual restraining order” the day he was served with it. “She also had a tire flattened in her vehicle, and when it was getting changed, (Devin Strader) came outside and began laughing at her,” according to the investigation. Strader pleaded guilty to trespassing and simple criminal damage to property, receiving a fine of less than $500 and one year of unsupervised probation.
Strader Ended the Engagement Via Phone Call
The revelations against Devin Strader only added to his polarizing status in Bachelor Nation, as the show revealed how he ended his engagement to Season 28 star Jenn Tran. Tran proposed to Strader during The Bachelorette’s season finale on September 3. However, the season ended with a dramatic heartbreak when Tran said on the After the Final Rose Special that she had proposed to him in the pre-recorded finale, but he did not appear to be the person she had chosen in the end.
Strader called off their engagement by phone. He later attempted to defend himself in a 13-minute Instagram video, which revealed private messages between him and Tran but has since been deleted. Shortly after the finale, Tran announced that she would compete in the new season of Dancing With the Stars, which premieres on Tuesday, September 17.
