The sixth sense is usually most often defined as intuition, or that ‘gut instinct’ you get in the pit of your stomach. You know that feeling when something bad is going to happen or something doesn’t feel right, even though you can’t put your finger on how you know? That’s the bonus sense!
Some people take the concept of this additional sign a little more seriously. People who have paranormal powers often perceive that as an extension of sense number six. Buddhism also speaks of an additional sense in their teachings. Buddhists often perceive the mind as having a sense as much as it does the first five physical senses. It is defined as mental and cognitive awareness, or our sense of self. Buddhism would likely suggest that everyone has a base of six senses, with some people being more connected to them than others. That concept differs from many people’s typical conception of the term ‘sixth sense,’ but is important to mention when defining the term.
The most likely zodiac signs
Pisces are most likely to have the best developed bonus sense. Water signs in general are generally more emotionally in tune and connected with people and the universe. Pisces are likely the most intuitive, with a nearly psychic perception of other people and their surroundings. Do not try to hide something from your Pisces friend; they are always one step ahead of you.

The Aquarius is squeaking in as the second most likely sign to have a good sixth sense. Surprised it’s not another water sign? We’ll explain why. Every water sign has a part of themselves that is in touch with their environment and the people around them. Their intuition is very people-focused.
Aquarius mostly uses their strong intuition pragmatically; it is their inner compass that helps them make decisions. They are extremely aware of their surroundings, but not so much of people. This can be really helpful because they don’t get bogged down in emotions and are not clouded by much. You probably would prefer a water sign as a counselor over an Aquarius, but the air sign would be perfect for decision-heavy roles that don’t require a lot of empathy. Think finances.
The third sign
Cancers are a close third. Do I ever pick to write about Zodiac topics that don’t include my own sign? Sometimes! Just don’t ask for an example. We know that, as Cancers we are often too aware of the people around us and find it difficult to set healthy boundaries for our emotional health. We can take the pulse of a room and perceive subtle changes in emotions in the people around us. We’re generally as aware of the environment as we are of other people. It would be hard for a Cancer to not have the sixth sense.
