If you’re a teenager or you have a kid who’s one and happens to be looking for a job, this is the place for you.
Finding a job that will higher teenagers is getting harder and harder, especially in the summer. With the growing installation of self-checkouts, being a cashier at a convenience store isn’t the best option.
There are so many limited options with our widely growing economy that you can only ask yourself: So, what are some jobs that are going to willingly take teenagers?
And the answer is it depends. It depends on what you or your teenager is looking for.
Hospitals/Vets
If a career in medicine or health is what you or your kid is looking for, applying for places that higher teens in the industry is the best way to go.
Some hospitals and vets hire at teenagers 16 and older, even offer internships. This can happen later on in your stay or as an additional application that you can also apply for.
While working for any healthcare job as a minor, they are more likely to put you at the front desk to receive patients. It might not seem like the best option, but it can help you work on your soft skills of talking to people and your hard skills by increasing your medical word vocabulary.
It’s a really good job to consider with a future in healthcare because you can put at as past work experience when applying for a job as an adult.
Library
Having a job at your local library is good for that student or teenager who loves to read and study.
This job might seem boring to people who don’t have the right mindset when applying.
In this job, you are most likely going to be put behind a desk to welcome and greet people as well as put any books back into their original place in the library. You will most likely have nice calm days and is a good job for introverts who want quiet and to be left alone.
This job would offer good free time to do things you also need to get done on the side. You might not think it’s a good fit for you, but check it out. There’s no harm done.
Server
Working as a server is a good job to do when you’re looking for a nice paying job. Which many teenagers are looking for.
You might make a really low wage when working as a server, but that is because you get to have and keep tips that your table happens to tip you. This is a really good job for extroverts because you would be more likely to get better tips if you have a good and cheery personality with your customers.
The better you are with them, the better you get paid. Your checks can fluctuate with how many hours and the tips that you get.
There will be times that you have to deal with rude customers because there are people in the world who are like that, and all you can do is smile because it is the food industry.
Maybe this job is a good fit for you if you are looking for that good flow of dough.

Finding a job as a teenager can be difficult if jobs don’t want to hire minors or because you don’t have work experience, they reject you completely. Being able to have options and good ones, is a great backup when jobs in your area might not higher you or your child.
With inflation getting higher and our economy getting harder to live in, earning and saving money when you are young and while you can be the best thing that can be done for their future.
