Grammy 2026: Who Gets the Victory in Album of The Year Category?

The biggest night in music is almost here: the 2026 Grammys. While the stars are putting the final touches on their red carpet looks, the debate over who will win Album of the Year at the Grammys is still open. The Album of the Year category is a part of the big five categories, the top categories of the night, with heavy-hitter artists on the nominee list with the most nominations for the award show

Feb. 1 will be the start of a big month for the Latin rapper Bad Bunny, who is this year’s Super Bowl halftime performer. The “Baile Inolidable” rapper’s album DeBร TiRAR MรกS FOToS is nominated six times.

According to Entertainment Weekly, regardless of whether the “I Like It” rapper wins, he has already broken a Grammy record. The new site states, “When the nominees were announced in November, Bad Bunny became the first Spanish-language artist to receive nods for Album, Record, and Song of the Year in a single year.”

Justin Bieber- SWAG

The latest artist announced to perform on the Grammy stage is Justin Bieber. The “Boyfriend” singer is returning to the stage after four years. Bieber stepped away from music to focus on his personal life, getting married to Hailey Baldwin and having a baby, Jack.

Beiber returned to the entertainment industry, dropping two albums in one year, and SWAG landed at second on the US Billboard 200, earning him four nominations for the night.

Sabrina Carpenter- Man’s Best Friend

Last year, Sabrina Carpenter was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys, and this year, Carpenter is nominated for Best Album of the Year and an additional five awards. The “Girl Meets World” actor’s album, Man’s Best Friend, features the hits “Manchild,” “Tears,” and “When Did You Get Hot?”

Carpenter is known for her erotic dance moves; will she tone it down for her Grammy performance? Or will the show be a sneak peek of what’s to come for her Coachella set?

Clipse( Pusha T & Malice)- Let God Sort Em Out

The rap duo Clipse, featuring Pusha T and Malice, reunited after over 10 years to release the album Let God Sort Em Out. Many people are familiar with Clipse’s early 2000s song “Grindin’.”

But many recall that Clipse, especially Pusha T, has a long-standing feud with Young Money rappers Lil Wayne and Drake. “The Story of Adidon” rapper questioned Drake’s writing credibility on several occasions and revealed to the world that the “Best I Ever Had” artist also had a secret son.

Lady Gaga- MAYHEM

The little monsters are in for a big night because the mother monster is the lady of the night. Lady Gaga is up for seven awards at the 2026 Grammys, making her the female artist with the most nominations for the night.

According to the “Born This Way” singer’s Grammy profile page, she has a total of 45 nominations and 14 wins.

Kendrick Lamar- GNX

Kendrick Lamar is the one to beat at this year’s Grammys with nine nominations and the most nominations of the night. GNX is the “Not Like Us” rapper’s tenth album, and if he takes home at least four awards for the night, he will break the record of the artist with the most Grammys.

Leon Thomas- MUTT

Can Leon Thomas take home Best New Artist and Album of the Year in the same night? Thomas is another artist on the list with six Grammy nominations for the night, performing in a set alongside the other nominees in the Best New Artist category.

Tyler, The Creator- CHROMAKOPIA

The third rap album on the list for the Album of the Year category is Tyler, The Creator’s album CHROMAKOPIA. The “Sugar on My Tongue” artist is nominated for five awards on Feb. 1. This is Tyler’s second nomination for the award since 2013, for his featured work on Frank Ocean’s album Channel Orange.

2026 Grammys: Date, Time & Host

The Grammys start at 8 pm ET on Feb. 1, hosted by returning host Trevor Noah, in LA at the Crypto.com Arena. The award show will be live on CBS and YouTube TV, and streaming the next day on Paramount+.
