Marvelโ€™s Spider-Man and DCโ€™s Superman

Exciting All-New, All-Spectacular Spider-Man/Superman Logo Covers Revealed

We have been living in a comic book desert regarding cross-company collaborations for what feels like an eternity. Finally, the Comic Deities have smiled upon us. Marvel and DC are putting their corporate differences aside to give us what we actually want: Spider-Man and Superman, sharing a page, throwing punches (and webbing), and probably saving the world. And we all thought the days of the Amalgam Universe or โ€œJLA/Avengersโ€ were gone, buried under movie rights lawyers and corporate red tape. Yet, here we are in 2026, staring down the barrel of not one, butย twoย crossover events in the span of a month.ย Yes!

While DC kicks things off in March, Marvel is bringing the heat in April with โ€œSpider-Man/Superman #1.โ€ Also, the creative team list reads like a Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

The Dream Team Behind Spider-Man and Superman’s Reunion

If you were worried this was going to be a cash grabby-grab with lackluster talent, you can officially unclench. Marvel isn’t playing around. The main feature is being penned by Brad Meltzer – yes, โ€œIdentity Crisisโ€ Brad Meltzer – marking his first-ever work for the House of Ideas. Yes! Heโ€™s teaming up with Pepe Larraz, whose art has been absolutely destroying it on โ€œX-Menโ€ titles lately.

The plot? Itโ€™s classic, itโ€™s terrifying, and itโ€™s perfect. Weโ€™ve got Superman and Spider-Man facing off against Lex Luthor and Norman Osborn. Just think about the ego in that room. You have the Green Goblinโ€™s mania mixed with Luthorโ€™s cold, calculated genius. The solicitation teases that these villains will “exploit some of their greatest weaknesses,” which sounds pretty dang ominous.ย

Clark has Kryptonite, sure, but Peter Parkerโ€™s weakness has always been his guilt (and his rent). Seeing how these two distinct brands of evil mesh is worth the cover price alone.

A Multiversal Buffet of Crossovers

The main story would be enough to get fans to pre-order, but the backup tales are where things get crazy. This isn’t just about Peter and Clark. We are getting a full-blown celebration of the Spider-Man and Superman families.

First off, per Bleeding Cool, Geoff Johns is returning to Marvel for the first time in over 20 years. Twenty! Heโ€™s reuniting with Gary Frank (because obviously) to pit the Super-family and Spider-family against each other, manipulated by none other than Mysterio. If you know anything about Johns and Frank, you know this is going to be epic and cinematic.

Then you have Dan Slott and Marcos Martin taking us back to the 1930s. Weโ€™re talking Spider-Man Noir meeting the original Golden Age Superman. The mood and aesthetic potential here is off the charts. Weโ€™re also getting a symbiote invasion in Metropolis handled by Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman, featuring Jane Fosterโ€™s Thor and Wonder Woman. Yes, you read that right. Wonder Woman fighting symbiotes. Excellent.

Miles Morales, Steel, and Gwen Stacy Join the Fun

It wouldn’t be a modern crossover without Miles Morales. Brian Michael Bendis is coming back to one of his greatest creations, teaming Miles up with Superman alongside artist Sara Pichelli. Seeing Bendis write Miles again is nostalgic enough, but throwing the Man of Steel into the mix is just showing off.

Weโ€™re also seeing some deep cuts. Louise Simonson is writing Steel (John Henry Irons) going up against the Hobgoblin, which is the matchup we need! Plus, Joe Kelly and Humberto Ramos are giving us a campus crossover with Gwen Stacy and Lana Lang. It feels like a love letter to every era of these characters.

When Can You Buy It?

Mark your calendars, definitely set an alarm, maybe camp out overnight:ย โ€œSpider-Man/Superman #1โ€ hits shelves onย April 15, 2026. Plus – because the comic industry loves to destroy our wallets – there is a literal army of variant covers. Weโ€™re talking Greg Capullo, Mark Bagley, Frank Miller, Peach Momoko, Ryan Stegman, and a phenomenal foil cover!

Itโ€™s been fifty (50!) years since the first time these two icons crossed paths. Whether you’re a Marvel zombie or a DC diehard, this is one of those moments where you just have to sit back and appreciate that weโ€™re getting new stories with Spider-Man and Superman together. Now, if we could just get Batman and Daredevil in a room again, all of our goals would be complete.
